The radiant and vibrant aura of the actress Nicha Natthanancha Dankhwanawanit who recently attended the L’Oreal Paris “Glycolic Universe” event at Central Ladprao shopping mall. Reporters took the opportunity to ask about her recent Valentine’s Day, following speculation that the male lead from her music video might have made her heart flutter. She firmly denied this, saying she is completely single. She added that she spent Valentine’s Day relaxing at home and also addressed rumors about rekindling an old romance, mentioning that her agency even sent a warning letter.
How was your Valentine’s Day?
"(Smiles) Nothing at all. Actually, I’ve been busy preparing for a lot of series work lately. Nothing special for Valentine’s Day, no hints or signs. Honestly, my mind was blank. I just stayed home and relaxed. No one teased me either. My friends all went off to be with their partners. There’s really nothing to share. Can I skip this? It’s painful (laughs)."
Before Valentine’s Day, did you wonder how it would go this year?
"No, I get excited about birthdays or Christmas, but Valentine’s Day I’m usually indifferent. But I do check social media—I enjoy seeing others’ happiness. People are so joyful, and I just absorb that positivity myself (laughs)."
So you’re single?
"Yes. (Are the rumors you heard untrue?) Are you trying to stir up drama? (Smiles) There’s nothing going on. (Is it okay to ask?) Go ahead. I don’t talk about love these days; people discuss work, finances, and progress now (laughs). I’ve been getting great horoscope readings lately since the start of the year. The fortune teller advised me to skip love and focus on work first."
I thought the fortune teller said you’d have love with someone you worked with?
"(Smiles) Oh, you want to get the scoop! Right now, I’m happy with my work and life. I think this year holds lots of exciting things for everyone to look forward to."
Previously, some linked the male lead from your music video as the one who made you look radiant?
"I look radiant? (Laughs) Since the start of the year, I feel like I’m still in hibernation in a cave. (And the MV lead actor?) I’ve done several music videos (smiles). You mean the latest one? There’s nothing going on. Let’s stop there."
Can fans ship you two?
"Up to them. Whoever I work with, I want only positive things. If it’s positive, I’m happy. Have you seen news about fans shipping us? I haven’t seen that. The news I’ve seen is about something else. I’ve never seen that particular story."
No one you’re dating?
"Well… there are the usual people coming and going, but nothing serious. Is it hard to choose? Not really, I’m quite clear. Lately, I’ve been studying myself a lot—from the end of last year during my break until now. Figuring out what I want, what I like, what my life is like, and what makes me happy. I want to be surrounded by a certain environment. So I’ve been very focused on being with myself and discovered that being alone is good. There’s a lot to learn about myself."
So you haven’t given up on love?
"Not at all. Love is a good thing. I’m open but not rushing into anything. What’s right stays; what’s not goes away. Am I ready to learn about someone new? Absolutely. I’m not closing anything off. If a good person comes along, why would I shut that door?"
Regarding your story post denying rumors that the actress went back to an ex, which some linked to you?
"I feel if something isn’t true, I have to say so because sometimes it’s not just me affected but my family too. So I need to protect that space for myself, clarifying what’s true and what isn’t."
People don’t often see this side of Nicha?
"Actually, it’s the first time in my life, but I don’t enjoy doing it. I hope it doesn’t happen often. But for some things, I need to set boundaries for myself about what’s true and what’s not. Honestly, it affects my family’s feelings. When I saw the news, I thought, 'What? How did this happen?' I didn’t know anything. My manager, mom, and sister asked if I’d seen it. I was like, seen what? At that time, I was still relaxed, resting."
How much courage did it take to post that story?
"Honestly, it didn’t take much courage because I already knew the truth. I was just stating our side of the story. Whether people believe it or not is up to them. I don’t think anyone likes others spreading untrue stories about them. Sometimes I let things go, but when it affects people around me, I want to protect them."
Have you ever thought about taking legal action?
"Um… not sure yet. Honestly, I don’t want to."
