After the South Bangkok Criminal Court scheduled the reading of the verdict in the case of Luk Mee Rasamee Thongsiripraisri as the plaintiff filing a lawsuit against Pou Mantana as the defendant for the offense of defaming another person by advertising,
the court ruled that the defendant was guilty under the Criminal Code sections 326, 328, and 393 for a single act violating multiple laws. The punishment for defamation by advertising, the most severe offense, was imposed: 2 years imprisonment and a 60,000 baht fine. The prison sentence was suspended for 2 years with probation for 1 year, requiring the defendant to report to a probation officer three times and complete 48 hours of community service.
Most recently, Pou Mantana posted a message on her Facebook page Pou Mantana, including content such as, "A warrior inevitably bears wounds; every wound is an experience. A warrior inevitably suffers because those who truly fight must endure pain. A warrior’s wounds are the medals of perseverance."
She also wrote, “I respect the lower court’s verdict and will exercise my legal right to appeal so that the facts can be fully considered in the justice process.”
