Amount Donated by Bink Banluerit to Eight Soldiers Injured by Landmine Explosion

Previously, Bink Banluerit visited Private Pek Detsak at Surin Hospital and gave him 100,000 baht.

This afternoon, Bink urgently cleared his schedule to visit and encourage eight soldiers injured by a landmine explosion, resulting in leg amputations, at Phra Mongkut Hospital. He presented 50,000 baht each from generous donors and added 20,000 baht of his own money to each soldier, totaling 70,000 baht per person (560,000 baht in all).

His intention was to boost the morale of these national heroes. The soldiers were delighted to meet Bink; some embraced him, while others asked for commemorative photos.

Bink plans to continue giving money to other injured soldiers and will deliver Converse blocks to the troops at Hill 350, Prasat Ta Khwai. Recently, he also transferred 150,000 baht for fuel costs to support construction projects at Hill 350, assisting the venerable Luang Ta Yuen.

Bink told Thairath Entertainment's Jack Green that this donation was initiated by Ajarn Saengsom Riwtrakul from Saengsom School. When Private Patiwat stepped on a landmine, Ajarn Saengsom wanted to give him 100,000 baht and entrusted the money to Bink. When Patiwat was transferred to Phra Mongkut Hospital, and Private Pek—the latest landmine victim—was also there, Bink gave 50,000 baht to each.

Today, when asked about the eight other soldiers with leg amputations resting at Phra Mongkut Hospital, Ajarn Saengsom instructed that each receive 50,000 baht. Bink also added 20,000 baht of his own money per person, reasoning that no amount of money can compensate for losing essential limbs.

He expressed a desire to encourage the soldiers, letting them know they are not abandoned. Even though the future is uncertain, they should understand that everyone supports, honors, and regards them as true heroes of Thailand.

The soldiers' morale has improved, especially with family members caring for them, keeping them close and ensuring their surroundings remain familiar.

Asked if he will continue helping, Bink said that there are about 31 more soldiers with amputations being treated at this hospital. He plans to discuss with Ajarn Saengsom how to proceed with supporting them.

His main concern is the quiet situation along the Surin and Sisaket border areas. He cautioned against complacency, noting that preparations and plans are in place, and Thai soldiers remain vigilant and ready to fight. Recently, they delivered 20 blocks of Converse; 50 more will be sent in 20 days to ensure sufficient supplies. They are considering transporting the blocks by truck and will deliver them in person.

Yesterday, Bink also contributed 100,000 baht for fuel costs, with a close acquaintance donating an additional 50,000 baht, which was transferred as well. He believes this is insufficient and promises to provide more fuel funding as needed. He supports both financial and moral assistance because Luang Ta Yuen is the spiritual center for soldiers in the area. When Luang Ta calls, everyone is willing to help, as he is a generous monk. Luang Ta has already helped build about 10 kilometers of roads. Therefore, Bink is happy to assist in easing Luang Ta’s burdens.

Regarding the soldiers who have sacrificed for the nation, Bink believes both their bodies and minds may be wounded but will gradually recover. They are our national heroes. He trusts that good things will come to them and their families and wants them to know that the public will always support them.
