The passing of Mother Mukda Boonthong the wife of veteran actor Nueng Nukkid Boonthong who passed away never to return after battling stage 4 colorectal cancer that spread to her liver and lungs. She had been undergoing treatment for over nine years, causing great sorrow to the family and descendants.
Today (9 Mar 2026), the family held the second night of the mourning ceremony at Sala 1, Wat Sammachanyawat. The atmosphere was filled with grief from the husband and children, especially Nueng Nukkid, who remains heartbroken over his wife's passing.
Dee Patthama and Ae Kasama, friends from the entertainment industry, came to offer support and pay respects. Upon arrival, they embraced Nueng Nukkid, who was comforted by Dee Patthama’s tears and encouragement to stay strong.
Nueng Nukkid told reporters that he was not ready to give any interviews today and felt heartbroken over his wife's departure. He spoke with a trembling voice, “I’m not ready yet, sorry. Please understand. Thank you very much for coming today. Feel free to take photos as you like. Today, I’m not ready. Muk is at peace now. If I could take her pain and suffering instead, I would.”
Meanwhile, many are still watching to see whether Kwanjai Saul Pantothong, the eldest daughter, will attend the mourning ceremony for her mother. However, so far there has been no sign of Kwanjai Saul or her family.
We will have to wait and see whether Kwanjai Saul attends the final night of the mourning ceremony and the cremation day for Mother Mukda.
