- Pookie Prisana Praisaeng’s English name is " Priscilla Jumelle ", born 26 May 1979 CE (aged 47). She is of Thai-Australian descent and was a famous singer in the 90s.
- Pookie entered the entertainment industry at just 16 years old and released her first album titled Pookie. She achieved major success with her second album, which included the hit song "SHA-LA-LA-LA" that became widely popular nationwide, making her one of the million-album-selling singers.
- Pookie became headline news again when she became pregnant by a music producer, causing conflict with her mother who lived in Australia. This led to multiple arguments and deepened the rift in their mother-daughter relationship.
- Pookie and her first husband were together for 7 years and had two children. They divorced in 2004 CE, at which time Pookie granted custody to her ex-husband. - In the early hours of 17 June 2019 CE, police raided a house in a village near Ramintra after investigating a scheduled illegal delivery of 52 kilograms of crystal meth. - On 4 Nov 2020 GMT+7, the court sentenced Pookie Prisana Praisaeng and her husband to 38 years and 9 months in prison and fined them 1.8 million baht for drug trafficking and money laundering. The court ruled that the defendants committed multiple offenses and imposed penalties for each. Defendant 1 was sentenced to 25 years and fined 2.5 million baht, while defendants 2 and 3 received life imprisonment and a 3.6 million baht fine. Due to their cooperation, the sentence was halved: defendant 1’s sentence was reduced to 12 years 6 months with a 1.25 million baht fine, and defendants 2 and 3 received 38 years 9 months and a 1.8 million baht fine. Failure to pay fines will result in imprisonment instead. All seized assets were confiscated.
- Recently, Pookie Prisana’s name resurfaced when she appeared at a concert with Sek Loso at Bangkok Christian School. This was her first public appearance after serving more than five years in prison. She appeared on stage with a bright expression, still looking as beautiful as before.
- On this occasion, Sek Loso performed with the Minburi band from the Department of Corrections and invited Pookie to sing with him. It marked her first concert performance in many years.
