After Oh Panthapol Prasarnrajkit also known as Oh Cocktail posted on Facebook announcing his decision to end his role as executive of the GeneLab record label and his own and his team’s ‘Half Nine’ project, sparking heated discussion in the music industry.
Recently, Nick Wichian Rukpaisarn, founder and first executive of the Genie Records label, which once signed Cocktail, shared his feelings upon hearing the news: “Seeing the news about Oh stepping down from his executive role at GeneLab shocked me because leaving a label you built by hand into a successful and well-known name can’t be an easy decision.”
“Personally, I feel regret that Oh decided not to continue, because to grow GeneLab to where it is today, Oh and his team have overcome many challenges, using all their physical, mental, and intellectual strength and hands to nurture it… It must have been exhausting!”
“Though I’m not sure what exactly happened, knowing Oh as a decisive and steadfast person, I’m sure he thought this decision through carefully.”
“In any case, I understand this feeling well. There’s probably nothing to console; I can only wish Oh fun, success, and fulfillment in the next chapter with his team ‘Half Nine.’ #nickgenie”
“P.S. We probably won’t be far apart since our homes are close. Whenever you’re free, come over for a meal and a chat.”
