Surachai Sombatcharoen Posts Video Addressing Family and Facebook Post Controversy, Explains Misspelling of Surabodin

- After Surachai Sombatcharoen the famous luk thung singer publicly introduced his wife, whom he had kept hidden for 40 years, and legally registered their marriage in the United States to protect their lifelong partnership there, many have wondered whether he also registered marriage with his wife in Thailand.

- On the family side in Thailand, the eldest son, Rocky Surabodin, posted a message saying, “I want a place to stand in society, but the more I try, the more I seem to embarrass myself. I’m truly speechless.”

- Meanwhile, Jeab Atthapornpim, Rocky’s mother, posted, “Happiness comes when karmic debts are released #GoWhereYouLike #LeavingIsIntentionalDisappearingIsNot #ThereIsOnlyOneTruth.”

- Then Surachai Sombatcharoen posted a fierce message again directed at Rocky Surabodin, saying there’s not even the word 'noble son' left in Thai society and declaring that Rocky should change his surname. He expressed disgust at the son’s actions and said although he doesn’t want to expose the details, perhaps it’s good so his own issues can be cleared up.

- This led to heavy public criticism, with many suspecting Surachai did not write the post himself because he misspelled his son’s name from Surabodin to Surabod. Surachai responded, “If I really wanted to send a message, wait until tomorrow. I intentionally wrote it wrong because I feel Bodin is abnormal.”

- Most recently, Surachai Sombatcharoen posted a video rebuttal, saying he wrote the post himself and doesn’t lie. He explained that the phrase “Oh Lord God” is a common expression. Having been through much in life, he doesn’t want social standing; he will sit or lie wherever he is happy.

- Regarding claims about duties and responsibilities, he said he is confused about who or what it affects. For him, he has completed that and moved on, with both parties living happily without incitement or provocation.

- On the claim of misspelling his son’s name, he said it was intentional. He avoided adding “-trin” because he knows Mr. Bodin is abnormal. Even if spelled normally, with his overseas education, his son would laugh. There’s no need to tell him he’s an overseas graduate after a short trip.

- Remember this: I won’t die easily. But to those who slander me, may it return to you a hundred or a thousand times over, because I live a good life, thinking and eating well.

- If I want to appear on programs, build my identity, or advertise, I will do so as I please if it benefits me. There’s much more to tell. I want to explain and clear my name to others.

- I have been hurt before, been deceived by that Bodin fellow who used me. Listen in the next part to hear what I’ve been through. Today, I speak honestly without editing; I speak from my heart.

“Hello everyone, many have asked if I wrote the post on the 13th. Honestly, I don’t lie—I wrote it myself. Some wonder about the phrase “Oh Lord God” — it’s a common expression used by many, especially abroad, like “Oh my God.” Some imagine conspiracies behind it or think I’m creating hype to buy ads or PR.

I’ve been through all that in life. I don’t seek social standing; I will sit or lie wherever I find happiness. Regarding duties and responsibilities, there has been a big backlash against me, Surachai Sombatcharoen. I don’t understand who it affects.

I know duties and responsibilities mean something to everyone and everyone faces them. For me, it depends if they bring happiness or suffering.

If it’s suffering, why call it duties and responsibilities? I completed mine, and it ended. Both parties moved on to live happily. It’s not about stirring trouble or questioning each other. I answer honestly; I have no agenda to create hype. I finished my duties and responsibilities. We live happily apart, and I live my life.

Whether my page is called Sombatcharoen Surachai Diana or not, it’s nothing unusual. I don’t force anyone to watch or not watch. I’m happy going where I please with those I’m happy with and share that. Some come to create drama or insult me. Thank you for the insults, but I honestly wonder why—what reason do you have to insult me? You don’t know me, and I don’t know you, nor do we know the family background.

We don’t want to expose everything, but if exposing cleans things up, it’s necessary. I accept being a public figure. I used to have a career but now I’m hardly there. I don’t seek social standing; I stand, sit, or lie wherever I want. I fled thousands of miles for happiness.

Yet some refuse to let go and follow me. Some see it; some don’t. What is seen is true, what isn’t seen might be true or not. So don’t imagine or insult me. Thank you for the insults.

I say this: karma is real. Those who never curse or slander others never receive such karma. But those who do, may the power of merit and sacred forces return it a hundred or a thousand times. I’m not cursing, just stating I don’t know you and never insulted you.

My life, family, and lineage bring happiness. We don’t randomly call people wicked or vile. Education teaches people to be good, to behave properly, not to be radio hosts with a notable surname throwing insults. What am I supposed to do?

Gold is gold; what else can it be? If you call me a dog that soils the yard, what can I do? If you say I have no standing, stand if you can; if not, that’s your problem. I don’t want social standing; I’m happy wherever I lie or sit.

I’ve fled, but whether it’s evil, karma, or karmic debts from someone else, I don’t know. The proof won’t take long; we will see and realize. I won’t die before seeing these things. Whoever did what will be punished by God.

Why do I use the word 'God'? I practice Dharma. I chant, practice, and am a good person—not perfect, just ordinary. Wherever I am, I respect the place and Buddhism. I pray and seek blessings from sacred beings, Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, and my parents.

But those who insult my ancestors as wicked or vile—what kind of mind thinks like that? They are crazy. What is happening in this world? What logic is in their heads? They want to appear on programs boasting about overseas education.

Go ahead, if it makes you happy and helps you stand and earn a living. Don’t insult others or buy ads to hurt feelings. Mistakes and untruths from the past are past. I must fix my present. I won’t let the past hurt me. I focus on good thoughts; if bad things happen, karma will punish naturally.

No need to research; true good people and real gold are genuine. I don’t deny that. Regarding why I write Thai poorly, I don’t want to add '-trin' because I know Mr. Bodin is abnormal. That’s why I write it normally.

I’m not good with social media. Just because you know something doesn’t mean you can insult me. Calling me a dinosaur or ancient turtle—what do you gain? You insult me and call me wicked and vile; how will society view you? If I’m insulted, what about others? I don’t mind.

Nature and time will punish you. Remember this: I won’t die easily. But to those who slander me, may it return a hundred or a thousand times, because I live well.

I’ve carried duties and burdens for over 30 years. Right or wrong, I don’t know. I don’t claim to be perfect or the best, but I’ve never done evil or slandered my ancestors. Think carefully about your logic.

Everything depends on oneself. Words control oneself. If you want to appear on shows, create an identity, or advertise, do as you please if it benefits you. There’s much more to tell. I want to explain and clear my name.

Sometimes I wonder why, but when the other party won’t yield, I want to ask: what is this? Nobody is perfect; every family has problems. When they end, they end.

At first, there was admiration and everything seemed beautiful. Over time, incompatible things fade. Don’t call me karmic debt. If you think I’m your karmic debt, why meet me? Don’t lie in society. If you stand, you don’t need to show off. Overseas graduate? They’d laugh if they knew. No need to tell them you traveled for a few days and call yourself overseas educated.

My father Suraphon was friends with my mother; he doesn’t know you. You don’t know me because your mother never asked for me. Want me to expose everything to be clean? I’m embarrassed myself. You know well. Why stir up heaven and earth?

Sorry if I seem serious or harsh. I speak truthfully and act honestly. I’ve never done evil in society. I’m not good or bad—just ordinary. I never slander others. Those who harm benefactors will be punished by nature someday. If you don’t believe, wait and see.

I have a second part, but today is special. I’ll watch if you appear on TV or dig up things. Go ahead. If I’m wrong, say so; I’ll admit I’m not perfect. But don’t slander or accuse others or belittle them. You’re educated.

I regret my money and sweat wasted. Is that all you can think of? Is your logic only good for speaking professionally? Others know how much to say and whether it benefits themselves. If words reflect back negatively, beware.

I don’t like cursing, but everyone I cursed has met their fate. I admit if I’m bad, let heaven punish me. But I never hurt anyone or serve as someone else’s tool.

I have been hurt and deceived by that Bodin fellow. Listen in the next episode to learn what I’ve used in life. Today I speak honestly without editing, from my heart.

If you’re bored, just close it. Don’t insult me; insults will reflect on you because I never insulted you—I don’t know you. I’ve lived a full life and have nothing to fear. I’ve been everywhere.”
