Fourth surgery due to loose screws and degeneration
Toon revealed that throughout his life, he has undergone surgery four times—three times on his neck and once on his arm—to relocate nerves. The main cause is "degenerative cervical discs." Previously, he had a surgery to replace one disc, but it was found that the implanted screws had loosened, requiring urgent surgery to remove the old hardware and replace it with new devices.
Toon admitted that doctors gave him many restrictions, especially on vigorous movements, but on stage during concerts, he often gets carried away by the energy of the music and the fans' cheers.
"There are many prohibitions, but I don't always listen. When the music starts, the drum beat comes, and the crowd cheers, it’s like possession—I just go with it. But now I’m trying harder to control myself."
Currently, Toon continues to monitor his condition closely and has had to adjust his exercise habits as per doctors' orders, reducing long-distance running to only walking or light jogging with his child over 1.5 kilometers.
