The passing of Neng Mengjai has deeply saddened his family, industry colleagues, and fans, as it was a sudden departure. Neng had never publicly revealed that he was ill, although many had begun to notice that he had lost a lot of weight recently.
Meanwhile, Art Pasut posted a message expressing his condolences for Neng’s passing and shared about their last meeting two days before Neng died, saying:
“We just met on 17 March (two days ago).
Usually, Neng would eat my crispy pork every time we met, but last time he said, ‘I’m so sorry.’ I told him it was no problem, just a little bit, eat comfortably, and we talked as usual.
But there was one thing he told me, that he had just drained 10 liters of fluid from his abdomen and that he would have to have it drained again later. He ended by saying, ‘I think I can’t take it anymore.’ I told him, ‘You have to hang in there, keep fighting.’” Then Neng went to rest.
RIP, brother. No more suffering. Safe travels. Love and respect.”
