Nawat Apologizes to Anutin After Court Mediation Resolves Disputes Reveals All Government Cases Settled

The dispute between Nawat Itsaragrisil owner of the Miss Grand pageant and Anutin Charnvirakul Recently, Nawat posted on his personal Facebook, admitting mistakes and apologizing for the incidents. He also spoke openly to the media about the background of the case resolution.

Court mediation: "Meeting halfway"

Nawat described the court atmosphere: "The day before yesterday and yesterday we were in court. I want to thank the judge who tried to mediate. At first, the situation was tense, but in the end, we met halfway. We have to accept the current situation; everyone can understand it."

He said that the lower court had previously dismissed the case for lack of grounds, but the appeal caused the court to reopen it. If they had proceeded with witness examination and judgment, they were confident, but since the other side offered to meet halfway to reduce issues, he agreed. The case concluded. Yesterday, they were in court only until around noon. Today, they were supposed to continue, but it was no longer necessary. The case between him and the other party is now finally settled.

Nawat congratulated Anutin on becoming Prime Minister."I'm genuinely happy for him becoming Prime Minister because I want him to focus on important national matters. Conflicts happen normally. I believe he understands this."

"Now, all cases involving me and the government are settled, including Prayut, Anutin, and Pareena. All cleared. This case was the first mediated; others have already been judged. Only one case remains, involving Kamin, scheduled to start in May.

Miss Grand continues to highlight social issues and warns the government not to be self-centered.

"I still want to speak to make society question and observe. But we must accept that those who filed complaints with the Election Commission (EC), while feeling that way, faced massive counter-lawsuits from the EC. Will I continue? Yes, because I’ve come this far. But I plead with independent organizations and government officials to understand how Thai people feel. Listening shows care; ignoring means being self-centered."

"Everything progresses because we use organizations related to the tax system. Since taxes belong to the people, the people are the bosses. We must always remember that. The boss cannot interrogate subordinates. The EC is the people's subordinate. It's strange. Saying this, I might get sued again—I feel dizzy."

He concluded on politics in the beauty pageant arena: "There will definitely be political issues because contestants answer questions and sometimes face court. Miss Grand wants to be a platform that raises social awareness but does not label anyone as bad or slander anyone. We discuss real events, never imaginary ones. Regarding COVID or the EC issues like the QR code, recounts, or printing over 3 million ballots, these are real events. The responsible parties must explain or answer doubts."

"Maybe 10% answer strongly, but most young contestants nowadays are like this. Don’t look for your grandparents' generation who were too polite to speak up. Thailand is unusual; these young people prioritize their rights. Let them speak—it’s good. If they didn’t, our country would be in trouble."
