. After Neng Mengjai or Neng Komedee the famous young comedian, passed away permanently on the morning of 19 Mar 2026. His family held the funeral ceremony at Wat Klang, Khlong 4, Pathum Thani Province.
Recently, Guitar Patcharamon the eldest daughter of Neng Mengjai, traveled to attend the funeral alongside her mother, Parichat Apisaksakulchai, Neng’s former wife, before Guitar opened up about her feelings after hearing about her father's death.
- "At first, I was still confused. When I heard the news, I had just woken up and got a call, then the news broke. For the first half hour, I was still bewildered. Honestly, I felt tears welling up—it was sad but I didn’t know how to express it. Just now, coming into the event and seeing only the photo left, I can't explain it."
- Asked if she knew about her father's illness beforehand, she said, "I only found out on Monday because my brother messaged me asking to talk. Actually, he just said to talk to Dad, to help out because Dad was stubborn and wouldn’t take medicine properly or on time. He might not have told me to order Dad around, but I told him I love Dad and to take care of his health so he could stay with us longer."
- Asked if she was shocked by the seriousness of the situation when asked to help, Guitar said, "Yes, because before that I saw pictures of Dad on Facebook wearing a black shirt and red hat and thought he looked very thin. Honestly, I thought maybe he had lost weight intentionally, but his stomach was swollen. I didn't think much of it and didn’t get to tease him about it."
- "Before my brother called, I had wished Dad a Happy Chinese New Year and we talked briefly. Then I learned about this. Woke up Thursday morning to this news."
- Asked how close she was with her father, she explained, "We were like a typical father and daughter who didn’t talk much because we separated when I was young. But we did visit each other because we lived in Phuket. Mom would bring me once a year. They supported me through to my university graduation."
- "He always cared. Since we weren’t always together as a family, he would remind me quietly. He rarely scolded but would secretly say things like, ‘Remember to think about your actions’."
- Asked if she wanted to say anything to her father, Guitar said, "Honestly, I’m speechless. Many feelings—regret, sorry. I don’t want him to think I didn’t love him or that after I graduated I ignored him. Sorry for not talking or reaching out much because of our different schedules. Sometimes I’d message late at night after my break, but Dad had just gone on stage. Our time zones didn’t match. I’d be home resting while he was still performing."
- "Now I’m at an age where I’ve graduated 3-4 years, just getting established and working, earning money. I gave him money when I could during festivals. That was only once—during this past Chinese New Year. It felt like he left too soon."
- "It wasn’t a lot of money. When I gave it to him, he was surprised and called to ask why. I said it was Chinese New Year, a red envelope gift. His birthday was coming too. Dad said he was working himself lately and might not get gifts. I told him it was okay. I’m grown now and gave because I wanted to. He thanked me."
- Asked if she was entrusted to care for her mother and siblings, Guitar said, "Honestly, we don’t talk much about family because we’ve been apart for a long time. When we talk, it’s just about everyday matters."
- In closing, when asked if she wanted to say anything to her father, Guitar said, "Now I can take care of myself, work with my voice, dare to ask, speak, and earn a living just like Dad taught me. I’m grown and can take care of myself somewhat, and I’m starting to take care of Mom a little too. I love you, Dad, even though I didn’t say or talk much. I want you to know I never stopped thinking of you. Today I came to see you and brought my little one along."
