Tide Ekapan Criticizes Oil Shortage Issue, Concerned About Day Laborers, Affirms Continued Patient Support

This is a situation impacting everyone due to the oil shortage caused by the Middle East conflict. Recently, Jack Green from Thairath Entertainment asked the young volunteer actor about this issue. Tide Ekapan Banluerit about this matter.

He said the Ruamkatanyu Foundation continues to save lives as usual, but the oil shortage should not have become this critical. He also asked that Anutin Charnvirakul the Prime Minister, come forward to hold a press conference explaining why this oil crisis has escalated so severely, but he urged that the truth must be told.

"At first, I thought the crisis would last just a day or two, or at most a week. But now it has spread widely, affecting almost every organization and profession that depends on oil. There have even been reports of rescue vehicles unable to pick up patients due to lack of fuel, needing to call other vehicles to transfer the injured. It’s an image that makes you ask, is Thailand really like this now?"

"I don’t know which reports are true or false. Some say the shortage is due to people hoarding fuel. Others claim refineries refuse to release oil to keep it for price hikes. But refineries say they have supplied the fuel. Some say deliveries to gas stations continue, so where has the oil gone? Thai people don’t know the truth. The crisis shouldn’t have become this severe, yet it has. Who will come out and tell us the real cause?"

"I want to urge Prime Minister Anutin to speak openly in a press conference so the public understands why this oil crisis occurred. But please tell the truth. Thai people will accept it and cooperate if the government issues clear policies."

"Now some have started working from home or using public transport, but that is only a short-term fix. In the long term, it’s not enough. The impact is severe, especially for day laborers who are suffering. Costs are rising, consumer goods prices are going up. It’s a pile-up of problems in our country."

"I affirm that we continue to help. Some foundations have announced they will assist only emergencies, but I told the Ruamkatanyu Foundation chairman that some households have critical patients who need ambulance transport to hospitals but have no vehicle. We must look after and help them. Whether we have fuel or not, foundations should keep fuel reserves to provide timely aid to save lives. We cannot gamble with people’s lives."
