
After Kru Paiboon Sangduan was sued by Ae Mira Cholwiralwanit his former wife, on charges of abducting a minor and committing sexual acts with a child under 15, the lower court sentenced Kru Paiboon to 8 years in prison without suspension and ordered him to pay damages of 350,000 baht on 7 February 2023.
Later, on 3 September 2024, the Court of Appeals upheld the 8-year prison sentence without suspension. Kru Paiboon was initially detained in temporary custody before being granted bail while appealing to the Supreme Court.
Most recently, on the morning of 24 March 2026, Kru Paiboon went to the Nong Bua Lamphu Provincial Court to hear the verdict, where the Supreme Court ruled to suspend his sentence for 2 years with a requirement to report every 6 months and perform community service.
On Kru Paiboon's personal Facebook page, he posted photos of the courtroom after the verdict and wrote, “With respect to the Supreme Court’s judgment, which has given me mercy and a chance to suspend the sentence, I sincerely thank you all.
