After the final night of the funeral rites for Neng Mengjai Mam Jokmok Mam Jokmok took on the role as host for the final night of the funeral rites. Mam revealed that upon arrival, he lit incense at the coffin and invited Neng to come have beer at his home, saying he had chilled beer waiting and Neng could just follow him home. Most recently, during the cremation ceremony, Mam was asked about this. He said he believes Neng truly followed him home because when he got back, showered, and sat down to drink at his usual spot, a branch about the size of an arm suddenly fell right in front of him at the very spot where he was sitting.
"I think he followed me because I told him, 'Hey, I've got the beer chilled for you.' When I arrived home, I sat there after showering at the usual table where I film the 'Mam Jokmok' show. After drinking for a little while, I said, 'Neng, you’re here now.' Right after I said that, a branch the size of an arm fell right in front of me at the spot where I was sitting. I believe he came, and it was exactly at that usual spot."
Mam also said that from now on, he will help look after and watch over Neng’s family and children as much as he can, since they both have families.
Additionally, he thanked all the comedian friends and colleagues who came to send off Neng Mengjai’s spirit. He said everyone is saddened by the sudden loss, but they have talked about how to move forward. They love and support each other. Today, they all wish for Neng to be in the place he deserves and wants to be. Rest in peace, dear brother and beloved friend.
