After Ice, wife of Neng Mengjai, posted a message suggesting drama, saying, “The event is over, so please stop putting on a show. Don’t make me have to do something I don’t want to.” This sparked hot debate among netizens, who linked the drama to several famous comedians, before she later clarified that she was not referring to Ball Chernyim.
In this matter, singer Mangpor Chonlathicha, a close friend of JJ Yuwachat, the second ex-wife of Neng Mengjai, also posted a message sharing another perspective about JJ, mother of Neng’s children, questioning what really counts as putting on a show, emphasizing that JJ did not attend the funeral for money and even sat quietly in a corner during the event.
“Okay, I see the post was clearly edited to clarify who it referred to. Maturity is important! Someone who lived with another for 17 years, and more importantly, is the father of her children, can’t she ask for forgiveness and do this for the father of her children one last time?”
“What is putting on a show? JJ went simply and plainly, with no makeup, just as she was. She didn’t want media attention, but she was called repeatedly over the microphone at the temple to give interviews. Everyone at the event heard it! I was sitting there and was shocked, then told a friend, ‘Go interview her so this ends.’ JJ walked away outside the hall, saying she was going to pick up her child, but the calls kept coming. In the end, she had to go stand there.”
“JJ did not come because she wanted money; she said so from the start. It was because senior figures in the industry wanted the child to have some support, as the child still has many years of schooling.”
“Why are there photos showing her standing next to the child all the time? The child is 13 years old, surrounded by many guests. It’s normal for a mother to accompany her child. Isn’t it?”
“Actually, JJ wanted to stay out of sight, but most guests were industry colleagues who know JJ well. They lived together for over ten years, so everyone in the industry knows them. She had to greet and thank everyone, which is part of helping with the event.”
“Why post about Neng after he passed away? Not while he was alive. She posted in her own space to keep it for the child to see… Is that so wrong?”
“The next morning, she took her child to make merit and offer robes to the monks for their father. That was wrong too. There were many issues, including people talking about JJ behind her back to others… All of it is connected, all from insiders. They know what is true or not, what is appropriate or not. They tell her everything, but JJ stays silent.”
“I’m confused. What is putting on a show? What crosses the line?”
“People in the industry, comedians, and Neng’s family love JJ very much. Even though the youngest child hasn’t received anything, as a mother, JJ can raise her children. She has always fought hard, and all the seniors are always ready to support her. Just think with a broad mind. Nothing in this world is permanent. The universe does not belong to any one person.”
