Latest Debt Update: Mae Ket, Mother of Jenny from Get Moe If Fresh, Vows to Be a Mother Her Children Can Be Proud Of

Mae Ket Somruay Petchrit, mother of Jenny and Lily from "Get Moe If Fresh," opens up for the first time about her debt situation and her relationship with daughter Jenny following a major controversy, in an interview on "Kuy Zaap Show" aired on One31, hosted by DJ Putt Puttichai and Benz Pornchita.

How is Mae Ket handling the debt?

Mae Ket: The creditors see my children and want Jenny to pay, but I’ve been telling them I will pay myself because my daughter has already helped. I tell them, "You see, I livestream every day, I work every day, and I will share whatever I earn each month." Talking to them calmly, they accept it. I feel relieved. I also talk more with my daughter. I've proven that today I sell products myself; I’m not using my daughter's money. I feel everything is getting better.

You livestream sales constantly to pay off the debt yourself. Have you and Jenny fully reconciled?

Mae Ket: Not fully, but the love is 100 percent. Love doesn’t decrease, though we may feel distant at times. We adjust and talk about what makes my daughter comfortable; we don't discuss debt or money at all. This year, I’m very proud — I never talked about money with my daughter. I believe I can do this. I’ve livestreamed a lot and paid off much. This year is a year of love. I have found good love and am very proud of myself.

From being in debt, people think your daughter paid it off for you, but you want to do it yourself. Has the debt been significantly reduced?

Mae Ket: Let me be clear — I owe 5 million baht, both informal and formal debts. Since the controversy and working hard, it’s down to about 4.5 million. I’ve paid off 500,000 baht already. I have to clear the informal debts first.

Will you become a new Mae Ket?

Mae Ket: Certainly. I will be a new Mae Ket and won’t go back to the old ways. I will tell my children I will do my best to be the mother they can be proud of.

You are proud this year both financially and in love, but you have faced many hardships. What lessons have you learned from what happened?

Mae Ket: If what I did caused family problems, I have to look back at myself and reset. I accept it, and everything will improve — with my children and family. I have reflected on myself and am working to move past that point.
