Actor Soram Urges Government to Tell the Truth About High Fuel Prices, Questions If Some People Are Truly Self-Sufficient

The recent shocking issue that stunned all Thai people was the announcement of a fuel price increase of 6 baht per liter, effective from 5:00 a.m. on 26 March 2026, which sparked intense criticism on social media over the following days.

Recently, the famous actor Soram Teppitak posted his opinion on the rising fuel prices on his personal Facebook, stating, “Amnesty Act sneak attack VS 6-baht fuel price sneak attack.” Though brief, the statement strongly resonated with social media users.

He then added a pointed comment under the post, saying, “The government insists that we have enough fuel. If so, please come up with clear, straightforward measures to help all groups of people. Everyone in every profession and area is suffering, not just one group. Can this be done?”

“Next month in April, during Songkran, please confirm and set a definite, clear fuel price for the people so we can prepare and plan our lives and families accordingly. Don’t just keep offering half-half subsidies that barely keep us afloat. I want the government to be honest with the people and not abandon them.”

“^^ They tell the people to be self-sufficient, but are some people truly self-sufficient yet, or not? ^^”

This sparked a flood of supportive comments from fans, such as, “Thank you, P’ Soram, for being a voice for the people. Truly the people's eternal leading man,” “Yes, they tell citizens to be self-sufficient, but politicians never know enough, supporting capitalists for personal gain while abandoning the people,” “So cool, P’ Soram,” and “You represent the people very well.”
