Previously, fans of "Rueng Lao Chao Nee" on Channel 3 were quite puzzled after not seeing P' Nui Ekarat Kengtukthang, the program's sports news anchor, on screen for several days, leading many to wonder where he had gone.
Recently, Ekarat Kengtukthang revealed the reason for this by writing, “Ekarat Kengtukthang no longer reads sports news on "Rueng Lao Chao Nee" on Channel 3.” In the clip, he said,
“I no longer read sports news on "Rueng Lao Chao Nee" on Channel 3. Many might already know, but since some have asked, I'm letting you know that I’m no longer doing it. If you ask why, there are several reasons. I did not sign a contract, and regarding work, it has reached a point where I must move forward.
Thank you Channel 3, thank you Khun Prawit Maleenont, thank you the executives, thank you Sorayuth Suthassanachinda, thank you Nong Bright Pitchayathun Chanphut, thank you to all the team, and of course thank you to the viewers who have kindly woken up early to follow along for more than 20 years.
I want to say I fought with all my strength. I worked hard every day. Although the broadcast time might be only 4-5 minutes, the preparation process was many times longer. Following the clip, many fans who have followed him sent a lot of encouragement, sharing memories of when Ekarat was still on the program, as his familiar voice has been heard for over 20 years.
