After the entertainment industry lost the resilient comedian “Neng Mengjai” also known as “Neng Komadkrab” who passed away permanently from liver cancer and sudden heart failure, with a cremation ceremony held on Wednesday, 25 Mar 2026 GMT+7, a recent controversy has arisen that as of now, Neng Mengjai's ashes remain in a storage room at Wat Klang Khlong 4 in Lam Luk Ka.
This issue has reignited anger among comedian friends, upset that Neng Mengjai's ashes are left alone in a storage room, where Jang, Jazz's wife, posted, “He has children and relatives. If they are unwilling to take care, just let the family handle it. Leaving him at the temple like an orphan.” She added, “Worth only a RosDee box.”
Jang also commented on DJ Choo Life’s post about this issue, saying, “So cruel, I never wanted to get involved but couldn’t stand it anymore.” Meanwhile, Mangpor Cholticha commented, “I cried, sir, this is beyond words, just f***ing awful.”
Upon checking social media of Ice Thalachan, Neng Mengjai’s wife, she had previously posted, “Ice will keep Neng’s ashes for 100 days, then will inform everyone where the sea scattering will happen.”
She also posted a photo receiving Neng Mengjai’s ashes, saying, “I miss my beloved so much. Ice will keep Neng’s ashes for 100 days and will notify everyone of the sea scattering location.”
Recently, Jang, Jazz’s wife, posted again on Facebook, saying, “Why is this happening? Things broke apart and they came to collect so quickly. Do things properly. When he was alive, he had a home, so take him back home properly and correctly. If afraid, scatter at sea properly, no one will blame us. If you don’t want to take him home, contact the temple.
Build a proper storage place, don’t just leave him on deposit. Wherever they place him, that’s where he remains… He only recently had a home before passing, but now he returns as a spirit with no home.”
“I don’t want to interfere because I know I’m an outsider, just a friend with no rights anyway. So use your rights correctly—the right of possession, use it properly. Anyone seeing his condition would not accept it. Even pets at home when they die must be buried, covered, cremated, or scattered at sea. He was a person, understand that.”
