After another controversy arose regarding Neng Mengjai, when Yuri, the wife of Ball Chuenyim, went to make merit at the temple for Neng, it was discovered that Neng's ashes were still kept in the temple's storage room. The temple claimed that Ice, Neng's wife, had entrusted her late husband's ashes to the temple earlier.
When this story became a major news topic that attracted public attention, Neng's elder sister went to the temple yesterday to request the ashes for religious merit ceremonies but Ice was nowhere to be found despite having arranged a meeting with Neng's sister. Everyone urged Ice to come to the temple to resolve the issue concerning Neng's ashes.
On 3 April 2026, Ice posted a public statement on her personal Facebook to clarify the heated drama, addressing the issues point by point as follows:
Clarification of the facts
Due to misunderstandings regarding Ice, Neng's elder brother, and our family, there have been individualsusing media and technology to live stream, post, and speak aboutIce and her familyin a damaging way with harsh words, leadingIce and her familyto feel compelled to use this platform to clarify the facts to protect themselves, Neng, and their family from further misunderstanding and harm. Ice's clarifications are as follows:
1. Regarding Ice's post on 26 March 2026,
Ice apologizes once again for causing discomfort to many. She affirms there was no intention to harm anyone. The post reflected her feelings during a time whenIce was stillconfused and grieving over Neng's passing. Afterwards, Ice regretted the post and deleted it to avoid further misunderstandings and criticism. She had previously apologized for this behavior.
2. Regarding Ice and Neng's marriage registration,
Ice confirms thatshe neverforced or imposedany conditions on Nengto register their marriage. Ice and Neng loved each other sincerely and wished to build a family together. Neng asked Ice's parents for permission to register their marriage first, promising to hold the wedding once they had a home and savings for it. They registered their marriage on 7 May 2024. Subsequently, Neng applied for a home loan after their marriage registration.
3. Regarding Neng leaving Joker Family Company,
Neng's resignationwas his own decision and unrelated to Ice. Neng told Ice he wanted to have peace of mind and handle work independently. After Neng passed away, Icegradually discoveredthings that madeher believewere reasons that troubled Neng and led him to resign fromthe company.4. Regarding Neng's funeral arrangements,Initially, Ice and her family intended to hold the ceremony at Wang Nam Khao Temple, Sam Phran District, Nakhon Pathom,
as Ice's family is from Nakhon Pathom and
Neng passed away at Ban Phaeo Hospital near their home. However, after consulting with Ball, and for the convenience of the comedian community wishing to pay respects, Ball suggested holding the funeral at Khlong Si Temple in Pathum Thani, and he agreed to sponsor the three-night ceremony from 19-21 March 2026,with cremation scheduled for22 March 2026.Later, Pa Mam and Mae Mod wanted to give Neng a final farewell, so the merit rites were extended for three more nights, from 22-24 March 2026,and cremation took place on 25March 2026.Ice's family informed Neng's children and relatives that the ashes would be collected on the morning of 26 March 2026. However, younger brother Guitar called in the morning of the 26th to say he had urgent matters and could not attend the ashes collection. After Ice and her family collected the ashes, they decided to keep them for 100 days for merit-making and scattering later. The temple agreed to hold the ashes temporarily and instructed them to choose an auspicious date for a ceremony before bringing the ashes home. Ice and her family did not abandon the ashes as misunderstood.5. Regarding the 32,000 baht,The 32,000 baht was the remaining amount in a box opened last after Neng's cremation. This box was brought by Ball to the second night of the funeral rites, designated for donation envelopes and funeral assistance. Ball instructed the money be used to cover funeral expenses each night. Ice placed all donations and help from the first night into this box, including offerings given directly by relatives and friends. Ice did not keep any money for herself. All funeral expenses each night were paid from this box as Ball intended. Ice denies any accusations of greed. Ice and her family kept clear financial records. Ice does not know if anyone else took donations without putting them into the box.Ice thanks everyone who donated and helped with Neng's funeral and affirms that all money was spent as intended, including daily merit-making activities such as almsgiving and offerings to Neng.Pa Mam gave Ice the remaining 32,000 baht to keep for merit-making for Neng, which Ice will definitely do. Ice thanks everyone involved in organizing Neng's funeral. If there were any shortcomings causing dissatisfaction, Ice apologizes. She and her family did their best to cooperate and make the funeral the best it could be.6. Regarding appointing an estate administrator for Neng,
Because Neng had debts on his house and car that needed to be paid off, appointing an estate administrator was primarily to settle debts, not to give Ice sole inheritance. Ice understands that although she was Neng's registered wife, he had children, and she never denied anyone's inheritance rights. To proceed with appointing the estate administrator, Ice coordinated with younger brother Guitar by sending consent documents for review, which he could sign or not.Ice did not coerce Guitar in any way. The consent documents were routine legal paperwork.7. Regarding demands to divide Neng's ashes,Ice confirms that previously neither she nor her family were informed that Neng's relatives or children wished to divide the ashes for merit or other purposes. Ice and her family planned to keep the ashes for the 100-day merit before scattering them, with the temple agreeing to hold the ashes temporarily and advising an auspicious date for the merit ceremony before taking the ashes home.Ice believes the temple can properly safeguard Neng's ashes during this time. She insists she did not abandon the ashes and was unaware that their storage would cause the public dissatisfaction and harsh criticism that followed. However, upon learning that Neng's relatives and children wish to divide the ashes, Ice has no objection and will inform them about the merit ceremony to proceed according to their wishes.8. Regarding individuals live streaming in segments and posting misleading content causing damage to Ice and her family,Ice has exercised great patience not to respond to actions causing distress, harm, and damage to herself, Neng, and her family. She has collected all information and intends to use legal rights to fully protect herself and her family.*** Finally, Ice thanks everyone who loved Neng and helped organize the funeral to bid him a final farewell, but asks all to be fair and listen to the facts she has clarified.Thank you, Ice3 April 2026 GMT+7
