After Ice Thalachanun the wife of Neng Mengjai, the late comedian, along with Guitar Patcharamon Mee Mak, Neng's eldest daughter, arrived at Wat Klang Khlong 4 in Pathum Thani province to receive Neng's ashes. Both wore black clothing and face masks amid media covering the event.
At one point, Ice responded to reporters asking whether she would clear things up with the fellow comedy artists. She said they would discuss it later. Regarding the money envelopes, she expressed deep regret, explaining she had already clarified everything on Facebook about what happened. When asked what caused the situation to escalate, Ice replied, "Exactly that, everyone."
When asked if this was a step back for both sides, Ice agreed, saying it’s better for each to live separately. She wants to be in her own space and continue caring for Neng, hoping everything will end peacefully. "I cry every day because I love him. I never wanted money. I truly love him, and I believe everyone knows that. I affirm my deep love," she said.
Asked if the rift within Neng's family could be healed, Ice said they would talk and hoped it would remain a family matter. She added she communicates with Neng's children and with Guitar about everything; there’s nothing hidden. Regarding the inheritance, Ice said she understands what belongs to whom and that it follows the law.
When questioned about whether her relationship with Neng’s comedian friends would continue, Ice said they would discuss it later and preferred not to say more as she is very saddened. Asked if she and the comedy community would mention each other again, she said no, and that she is done. She reiterated that it’s better to step back and live separately. "I’m already very sad," she added.
On how the events have affected her, Ice said, "A lot." Asked if it impacted her feelings or work, she declined to answer, expressing sincere sadness and apologizing. She thanked the reporters for their concern and expressed gratitude to all fans and everyone who loved Neng.
When asked what she would say if Neng Mengjai could hear her, Ice said, "I love him just the same. I have always loved and cared for him throughout my life. That’s all, everyone. I truly love him, and I believe Neng knows that."
