The wedding day is approaching for the famous couple. Nadech Kugimiya. and Yaya Urassaya Sperbund. They are preparing a simple wedding in Khon Kaen Province on 17 April 2026, which will be their first event before hosting ceremonies in Norway and Bangkok. Recently, Nadech and Yaya opened up about this after attending the “56th Anniversary Celebration of Channel 3 Land Dom” at Suphachalasai Stadium.
- Nadech said that most of the invitations have been sent out, with just a few remaining. When he saw the cards, he thought they were very cute; they were Yaya's idea. Yaya added that this engagement is like a 'Back to Nature' theme, wanting to use natural materials including rice stalks. Nadech said they brainstormed together, found references, and had the card team create them. The result exceeded expectations and looked beautiful.
- Nadech revealed that the ceremony in Khon Kaen will be in true Isan style, including su kwan and su khor rituals. Yaya mentioned that for the traditional procession, she told friends they need at least 10 envelopes before the door will be opened.
- Nadech said he is currently trying to lose weight because during the wedding outfit fitting he was thinner. After competing in Hyrox, he gained weight and now needs to slim down to look handsome in traditional Isan attire. He is confident he will be ready. Everything else is all set.
- When asked if he was nervous approaching the wedding day, Yaya said they initially took it easy and progressed gradually. Looking back, she wishes they had been less relaxed since some tasks remain unfinished, but she is happy to be getting married. Nadech said he feels some worries about whether the event will run smoothly and on time, but everything has been fully prepared. On the day, he expects to forget these concerns and feel only happiness. His mother saw the invitations and was happy, likely pleased that her son is getting married.
- Nadech said they did not do extensive homework for the wedding. They looked at Pinterest and references to find ideas because the venue is a natural garden and rice field setting. The event will be very simple. About 130 guests will attend since there will also be weddings in Norway and Bangkok, so the guests will be spread out. Most are family and relatives in Khon Kaen.
- When asked about preparations, Yaya replied that she did not need to prepare much as she has been ready for over 10 years and has been prepared for a long time.
- When asked how she feels about supporters up to now, Yaya said that attending events like Channel 3's ball made her realize how much they have been through. In the past, their feelings were not so clear, with P’Bear wearing number 18 and their courtship being subtle until today. She feels very happy and fortunate to have reached this point. They have been engaged for three years and have talked about marriage for a long time.
- Nadech revealed he will be a house husband. He said Yaya eats very simply, having one whole egg and one egg white for breakfast. When they order food, she shares with him. Yaya said P’Bear is the one who cooks and does the dishes at home. They feel very equal; some days she cooks, other days he does.
