It turned into a controversy after Bow Malada spoke openly about her health condition, having two uteruses and being born with only one kidney. Some netizens questioned why she would discuss such personal matters publicly.
Recently, Bow was seen with Alek Teeradetch at the "56th Anniversary Celebration of Channel 3 Land Dom" event at Suphachalasai Stadium. They both addressed the issue, saying
Bow said, "Some comments asked why I talked about it since it’s a personal matter, but it’s not that private. It’s something all women should be cautious about, and I feel every woman should know to be careful, so I decided to speak out."
Alek added, "It's an interesting topic because a woman's body is more complex than a man's, including emotionally. Bow just found out about her condition recently?"
Bow replied, "I found out when I was in my early 20s."
Alek continued, "Those who haven’t checked or ignore it might face problems later, which isn’t good. What she said serves as a cautionary tale for those who haven’t been checked yet and might have similar conditions—to get checked before it becomes a problem."
When Alek saw some of the comments about Bow, how did he feel?
Alek said, "I was about to get angry, but then I saw Bow had already responded logically and thoughtfully, so I felt proud that my girlfriend has such a good mindset."
Bow joked, "The typing was correct, but the mind went too far."
How did you feel when you first learned about her illness?
Alek said, "At first, I wondered if it was real because I didn’t know much. But after understanding, I knew we had to be careful. In the beginning, I thought she couldn’t have salty food or this and that, but she explained the doctor said she can live a normal life with some precautions."
Bow said, "When I spoke about it, I realized many Thai women have two uteruses but can still have normal children. When people understand, they see that even with my condition, I can live life fully. So I became a spokesperson to help everyone understand." She added, "And as women, we shouldn’t be biased against each other because those commenting are women themselves." .
So Alek doesn’t have to worry about having children, right?
Alek joked, "Right now, I’m more worried about whether I can still kick a soccer ball properly—looking at the short term (laughs)."
Are you embarrassed by his flamboyant gestures?
Bow replied, "He acts like this every day. Nowadays, he’s like a girl waiting to debut, so I make him the older sister. When something happens, he strikes a pose with hands on hips saying, ‘Is that a big deal?’"
