Summary of the Knack Chalee Drama: What Happened and Why the 50-Million Baht Burglary Case Has No Progress

“Knack Chalee” wants his lost belongings returned.

- In May 2025, Knack Chalee’s home was burglarized, and all his lifelong valuable collections disappeared. Over a thousand precious items were stolen, including a 100-year-old antique violin. Stolen items included the century-old violin, guitars, a cello, about 64 guns, and even the air conditioners were stripped out, leaving the house empty. The damage was estimated at 50 million baht.

- Knack believes the culprit is someone close to him and has filed a police report, but the case has not progressed and the stolen property has not been returned, despite reports that suspects were caught.

- More than nine months have passed with no progress. Knack and his team investigated themselves and identified the culprits “On” and “Tee” as the safecrackers, but the police only said, “The criminals are in prison, waiting for the indictment to be finalized.”

- Knack Chalee spoke out after news about an influencer whose safe was stolen but recovered by police, lamenting that despite his safe and valuables worth over 50 million baht being stolen, the police have not recovered his items.

The safe was cracked open and all valuables taken.

- Knack gave his first interview on this matter on a popular news program, saying he is a gun collector but does not like to show off. He owns old and small guns, antique violins, and hundreds of cars but never displays them to anyone.

- Knack said his house has a three-meter-high fence, security cameras, and a large safe where he carefully stores his guns. He never photographs or shows his collection to others, keeping them for sports and long-term collecting inside the home safe.

- On the night of the incident, when they entered the house, they saw the guitar display cabinet with valuable items inside shattered and scattered. He secretly hoped the safe wasn’t cracked because he was most worried about the guns. The safe on the third floor was indeed broken into.

- Over the past year, he hasn’t been silent, but people thought he was lying or joking, asking who would have hundreds of guns, cars, or guitars. He said he does own hundreds, especially violins, many hundreds, but never displayed them.

- He reported the theft immediately on the first night. Police came in large numbers. Due to his image as a jokester, people assumed he was lying or boasting since he never showed his collections before.

He wants the guns back because they have sentimental value.

- He does not want the other items worth hundreds of thousands or millions back. He does not want the luxury bags worth hundreds of thousands or millions back, nor the expensive violins, but he does not intend to press charges if the guns are returned.

- Each gun is worth 200,000 to 400,000 baht but holds great sentimental value. Violins priced at 200,000 to 900,000 baht do not hold sentimental value for him. He kept the guns well and never fired them; even the 100-year-old guns were carefully preserved.

- “On,” one of the thieves, already knew police. Knack saw them talking. He spoke with both the police and On, telling them he only wants his guns back and will not press charges because On has four children, despite stealing tens of millions from him. Lately, he has been stressed due to many personal issues, including family and false reports saying he never gave anything to children nearby, calling him stingy.

- He follows up daily to see if the fingerprint results are out yet, since the evidence is very clear. Police keep telling him, “Not yet.”

- Knack saw someone posting violins for sale on social media and recognized a fishing hook from his own collection in the photo, as well as repeated use of the same patterned bedsheets in posts selling other items.

No progress in the case, so he had to conduct a sting operation himself!

- Knack personally conducted a sting operation to buy stolen goods, leading to the arrest of a suspect named “Art,” who was close to Knack and had been in and out of his house. Art confessed on video to Knack that he drove into Knack’s house to take items 10 times.

- However, the Chokchai Police Station, where the crime occurred, did not charge Art with theft and released him, charging him only with receiving stolen goods at Huamak Police Station instead.

- Recently, after media coverage, Huamak Police called Knack to retrieve items but only returned 8 old violins, which Knack said were just children’s toys he planned to give away, not the valuable items he was seeking.

- Afterwards, the Chokchai Police Chief said he had just seen the video of Art confessing to entering Knack’s house 10 times and was preparing to request an arrest warrant for Art on theft charges officially.

- After heavy criticism, Art messaged and left his phone number with a show, denying he stole from Knack’s house. He said the intruder was “On,” and he only received goods to resell. He claimed to have obtained only 11 guns, not 64 as reported, and returned them all to On. He admitted to selling valuable musical instruments for about 50,000 baht and tried to raise money to buy them back.

Only one gun was returned; 'Big Turtle' steps in to help manage the case.

- Knack said he has come to terms with the loss of money and other items, but the 64 guns are very dangerous if they fall into the wrong hands. He wants them back because they are registered in his name. So far, only one gun has been returned.

- When asked if he thinks the guns might be with the police, Knack said he truly does not know and does not know if anyone is involved. He has remained silent to avoid problems with anyone.

- Knack concluded that he does not understand the law. Even though they caught the thieves, they are allowed to live normally. Now that the case is public, they should have been arrested by now, and if not, it’s very strange.

- Recently, Police Major General Jaroonkiat Pankaew, nicknamed Big Turtle, scheduled a meeting with Knack on Wednesday, 8 April 2026, at 14:00 GMT+7, to have the Central Investigation Bureau (Crime Suppression Division) take over and handle the case anew.
