After the young singer and actor Film Rattapoom Tokongsap gave an interview stating that he helped the luk thung singer Baitoey Sutheewan Thawisin or Baitoey R Siam because when she was newly released from prison, she had no money even to pay her daughter's tuition. He gave her his car to use since she had sold her own car to pay for her daughter's education.
Then DJ Man Phattanapol Baitoey's ex-husband, came forward to deny this, saying he didn’t know what happened before he was released, but after he got out, the tuition fees were raised by DJ Man’s sister in America and Lux, Baitoey’s brother. DJ Man then managed everything. This led to a recent heated controversy, prompting Baitoey R Siam to clarify the matter.
Asked about DJ Man's statements on a show regarding their status and their child's expenses,
“Regarding what P’Man said, I must say he has taken responsibility since he returned. But when I first got out, there were seniors, various jobs, friends, and colleagues from the same label who really worked with me, struggled with me, and have had a long-lasting friendship. They came to help, but it wasn't about tuition fees as he reported.
At that time, I consulted many people about how to start my new life. Everyone called to check on me, asking if I needed help because they knew I would face hardships starting over. Honestly, I want to thank everyone who was there for me that day when I began anew and stood by me, never forgetting me—those who believed and trusted me then.
Especially my label siblings, like P’Film. He didn't just help me during COVID; he helped P’Lala, P’Eed, and everyone who has worked with him over the past 20 years. I can say my friendship with P’Film is very long-standing. I joined the label and worked with everyone, including Pong Lang Sa On and P’Film, for 20 years until today.”
People misunderstood and linked us to Film again?
“Honestly, I get linked with P’Film every time, every year since I became an artist, no matter the project. I remember the last event had rumors right after I returned, and now again (laughs). To put it simply, it’s a very long friendship.”
“P’Eed, P’Film, and everyone kind to me, those who follow and comment on my channels, if they are colleagues from the same label, they know I’m a hard worker. They know I am not the person people accuse me of being. So the support has always been like siblings—a very good friendship. I want people to stop misunderstanding. I say it’s a long-lasting friendship; he’s always been a kind older brother.”
After this happened, have you talked with Film or DJ Man?
“Honestly, I don’t want to talk to either of them (laughs). I haven’t spoken to either side. But with P’Film, I know this news has come up before. Honestly, I feel that as a caring older brother to a younger sister, everything is factual. There’s no need to call behind the scenes.”
“It’s the same with P’Man. Today, regarding their statuses, I don’t need to say much. He is a good father to our child. He is family. So today, regarding this matter, I accept it but don’t want to be involved (laughs). I feel that by now, everything is somewhat settled. Everyone has moved on and is working. The story has been long over.”
“Today, good friendships remain with everyone. Like with P’Man, our family status after separation—we still talk. We still fulfill our parenting roles well. With P’Film and everyone else, we remain siblings in the same industry and label, with long-standing friendships on both sides.”
Asked about appearing on a show where you said people helped and supported you inside prison, do you feel they are greatly indebted to you?
“Oh, so many. As I said on that show, I really don’t want to revisit it because every time I do, I get emotional. But I thank everyone who reached out to help me when I returned and while I was inside. Everyone held my hand and helped together. Today, I hope everyone can stand where I am now and receive justice under the law as I did.”
