She returned to Thailand to share about her life in America and update on her love life after divorcing her ex-husband, along with highlights from the "Kita" group about an upcoming special concert, all featured on the "Kuy Zab Show" on One31 channel, hosted by DJ Putt Puttichai and Peggy Srithanya.
How is life living in America?
Andrea: Life is full of variety. I work as a lawyer with my own legal consultancy and participate in triathlon sports.
How many years have you been a lawyer?
Andrea: For 19 years, specializing in labor law. In the first 10 years, I was often criticized by seniors who said I had been a lawyer longer than they had been alive.
As a lawyer in America, have you had opportunities to sing?
Andrea: Yes, I performed as an opening act for P'Mos. He came to America two years ago and invited me to sing.
Have you made educational clips about the law?
Andrea: Yes, I created clips supporting women's rights and teaching legal knowledge.
Update on your love life — are you separated from your husband now?
Andrea: We separated over four years ago. It feels like we are more like friends. We were together for 20 years, married for about 13 years. Lately, we felt more like friends living separate lives, not feeling like a team, and unhappy. We thought we'd be happier apart.
After separating, did life turn out as you expected?
Andrea: Yes, truly. I want to share that if you fear the unknown future, just believe in yourself and your abilities — you will find a way. I can say I have been happiest since the separation. Living alone allowed me to get to know myself better, which has been enjoyable.
Is your heart open to new love?
Andrea: Yes.
What nationality is your new partner?
Andrea: He is American as well. We have been together about a year. His name is Chris. Being with him feels peaceful; I respect him a lot. He says, whatever I say, he will do.
How did you two meet?
Andrea: Through an app. He couldn't come today.
Why did you open your heart to this new relationship?
Andrea: I feel supported by him; we help each other grow and have a peaceful relationship.
Looking back, Andrea was a famous 90s artist with the hit song "Sob Ta". Can you recall how you started in the industry?
Andrea: Around age 11, I studied jazz with a teacher. Someone asked my teacher if there was a talented dancing girl to send for a commercial casting. I was sent to audition for my first commercial. Then the choreographer from Kita invited me to dance at concerts, including P'Aom Sunisa's concert. The owner of Kita label noticed me, giving me a chance to audition for singing. I was lucky to learn singing from teacher Ouan Maneenuch, which was something I loved.
Do you remember your debut?
Andrea: At age 15.
What made you stop singing and end your career as an artist?
Andrea: There were many factors. My mother asked if I wanted to study in America. I thought it was a good and fun opportunity. Later, I found out I had a stalker who waited outside my house and sent letters, so my mother was worried. She asked if I regretted it, but I didn't at all. I was confident in my decision. I never felt I had to be a singer forever; I wanted to do many things.
Did you keep in touch with your Kita friends while in America?
Andrea: Yes, we still keep in touch. Whenever I return, I meet for meals and hang out, and sometimes join concerts.
Introducing special guest Joy T-Skirt, known as a key member of the group?
Joy T-Skirt: Not exactly the leader. There are several, including P'Boom Trirak, who delivers messages and visits Andrea every year. We actually chat regularly by LINE.
We heard you have health issues?
Joy T-Skirt: In 2025, I didn't know I had cancer. I had abdominal pain and abnormal menstrual bleeding. Everyone was concerned and informed Andrea, who was very kind and encouraged me to be strong, assuring me things would improve. Later, cancer was found in two more spots: initially stage 4 uterine cancer, then one spot in the lung and a 3mm spot in the breast. The doctor hasn't confirmed if the breast spot is malignant yet; it's under observation.
Please share how you managed to get through this?
Joy T-Skirt: Having a strong heart is vital. You must be strong and not give up because there's no turning back once it happens. When I learned about the cancer, it was heartbreaking, but I had to fight. I didn't tell my son at the time because he was about to enter grade 7 and I didn't want to worry him, so I kept it a secret. I wore wigs and told him it was just a tumor, which he understood but didn't speak about since he knew I was hiding it. Now, I watch my diet, manage stress, and lifestyle carefully because stress makes cancer cells thrive. I have returned to work and take assignments because without income, I would stress more. I'm still the pillar of my family.
Another special highlight: "Fundee, Funden, Off, Dr.Kids, Joy T-Skirt, Yui Patamawan" share stories about their close friendship in the group. "Fundee-Funden" were very popular and had many mischievous moments. They had four caretakers.
Fundee: We had a lot of work, and the caretakers who left have all gone on to prosper.
Funden: The nickname "Devil Twins" was given by our makeup artist. We spent years together during concerts and album releases, so we got close with the hair and makeup team who teased us based on our traits, like having a receding hairline. We used to tease each other a lot, and I was the prankster.
Joy T-Skirt: It was just an act. When others met them, they saw the "Devil Twins," but in reality, they are well-behaved.
Are you the eldest in the group but still young at heart?
Off Dr.Kids: I never act old. My heart remains young. I still enjoy singing, dancing, and having fun.
Explain the origin of the name "Kita 40 Up"?
Fundee: It started from Joy T-Skirt's illness. The word Kita has always been with us. We discussed wanting to help her because when friends are over 40 with young children, expenses are high. We thought about how to support each other since we've helped others a lot. We gathered funds and formed the band after getting agreement from everyone. Later, a senior songwriter saw our dedication and allowed us to use the name Kita and their songs.
Joy T-Skirt: Besides the songwriter, P'Plang, the stylist, also takes care of our wardrobe.
Please invite everyone to the "Kita 40 Up Present 'My Best Friend is Coming'" concert at Sliding Doors.
Fundee: We warmly invite everyone to join us on 18 April. Tickets are limited; we have 200 seats with about 180 left. Andrea bought tickets to perform at this event. We understand the economy but must hire people for this show. Please come meet us on 18 April. Doors open at 1:00 PM, show starts at 2:00 PM, with plenty of fun.
