They are another lovely celebrity couple living a simple life. Chakrit Yamnam and Anne Pattira with their son, Nong Pho, who brings happiness to the family and whose adorable family moments are often shared.
Recently, Chakrit and Anne opened up on the YouTube channel M Busarakum’s show “Mam Kub Mam,” where they discussed a love that didn’t start from being each other's ideal type but grew from getting to know each other’s true selves; Anne revealed it began from feeling pity.
Chakrit began by saying that when he dated Anne, they were together for a year before marrying, and now they are in their ninth year. He recalled their first meeting at work on a series; Anne was managing the actors, and at that time there were issues with delayed payments. Chakrit called to check if the money had been paid yet. He and Anne became close on set, starting as friends. They went through tough times, each with their own struggles, and talked to get to know each other as friends.
Regarding his impression, Chakrit said Anne undervalued herself, thinking she wasn’t good enough or talented enough. But her natural personality made those around her happy and smile. He encouraged her to believe in herself because she really was talented and brought joy to everyone. He felt a desire to take care of her. They started as friends, gradually talking for almost a year without discussing being a couple, casually moving forward.
Chakrit added that Anne didn’t like him at first; she said she actually liked Nadech. When asked what impressed her about Chakrit, Anne said he was straightforward, sincere, and pitiful. As she got to know him, she realized he was a lonely and very pitiable person, quite different from the rumors. She felt sorry for him. During that time, they visited each other often and she saw another side of his life: working very hard, leaving early in the morning and coming home late, sometimes falling asleep on the sofa with clothes in the washing machine for a week, working every day and living alone.
Chakrit said that at that time his mother was ill, so he had to divide his time a lot and didn’t have much time for himself. He worked to pay for his mother’s treatment. Those days, fun was gone. Anne added that it seemed like he wasn’t living his life or going out with friends; at most, he just sat and ate in his room. Life was a repetitive loop.
As for their first date as a couple, they went out together to New York. Anne added that she knew she was pregnant then and they were about to marry. Chakrit said their relationship was very quiet because he had told her life can change in five minutes, and they also wanted to be considerate of her parents. Social media was intense then, and their lives truly changed overnight after the news broke.
When the news leaked, Chakrit said people started to suspect who they were dating. They approached their relationship maturely since they were both in their late 30s. They were ready to have a child, but if not, that was okay because they didn’t see marriage as the most important thing. What mattered more was two people being together for the long term, which felt more genuine. However, they still wanted to do everything properly.
Once Anne was pregnant, they went to apologize to Anne’s mother in Chanthaburi Province properly. After following the traditions appropriate for both families, they then addressed the media. Being public figures, they wanted to respect their fans, work team, and seniors in the industry.
Anne added that initially, they planned to marry first and then announce, but the news broke seven days before the wedding, which changed their lives. Chakrit said he had faced both true and false rumors, earning the nickname “the playboy actor” with many stories involving actresses. But in reality, it was impossible for every woman to like him. He told Anne that as long as they knew the truth, that was enough because explaining to everyone would be impossible. What mattered most was that those close to them knew the truth.
Chakrit admitted he used to be a mysterious, independent person who rarely gave media interviews. But he began to open up, realizing that relationships are mutual. He explained that before, he separated his personal life from work; his private matters didn’t need to be known. He had a Western mindset, but once he opened up, the media opened up to him, and they all became like friends.
