Veena Pavina Singh, Miss Universe Thailand 2025, is a beauty queen who faces daily controversies without pause. Recently, Veena joined the Amazing Bangkok Songkran Parade 2026, celebrating the water festival and Thai culture with the theme “Draped in Sabai to Silom.” During the event, Veena shared she is very tired of the drama, confused about being criticized while just staying at home, and asked those who enjoy drama to love her as much as they do the controversies.
"This year, I come as the queen of waves. Life’s waves aren’t just water; they’re ups and downs. Sometimes I’m swept away, sometimes stranded, but I always reach my destination. Let's let go of the bad and have fun all year long."
Have you faced a lot of drama?
"I’m very tired, honestly. I’m confused because I’m just at home, yet suddenly there’s uproar. But it’s okay—I focus on myself, on the good things, and on my happiness. After my pageant success, I’m now working as an actress, which is another dream come true. I want to keep moving forward and avoid anything that makes me feel bad."
What about your love drama?
"Oh, the love drama—can it turn into love instead? Can I have as many lovers as I have dramas? But thank you. Ultimately, if we view drama as something to learn from, we can overcome it. Though, please don’t let it happen too often—I need a break. Love me a little less, but hit the like button a lot."
People say you’ve been through 100 dramas but handled them all?
"I’m also confused. I’ve grown through a lot. Nowadays, I’m indifferent when I see drama about me. I open my eyes and think, ‘Okay.’ Since it’s often the same issues, I prefer to focus elsewhere—on values like effort and inspiration that I want to share with those around me. I don’t want to make anyone feel discouraged or inadequate. Those who try hard are the ones who will succeed, and I want everyone to value that effort."
Do you wake up every day facing new drama? Is that your life?
"Yes, life is fun, like riding a roller coaster daily. Some days I wake up happy with no issues; other days I’m confused despite doing nothing wrong. But it’s okay—I think that means people are thinking of me, and I’m always in their hearts."
"I want to ask everyone to focus on themselves because I never speak about others. The most important thing for progress is self-focus and continuous self-improvement."
"As for the dramas, please keep some distance from me. I understand that sometimes I don’t respond, so some feel they can say whatever they want. But please don’t think that way. Everyone handles drama differently. Don’t assume those who don’t fight back are weak—they may just have enough social grace not to retaliate. Please be mindful."
People say those who handle drama well have strong minds?
"I do have a strong mind. I’ve never seen a ghost, but I encounter many spirits—just kidding. Truly, I have a very strong mind. Throughout my eight years in pageants and life, it hasn’t been easy. We build mental strength, but if troubles come every day, even stone erodes. So I encourage everyone to avoid creating drama and instead support each other."
Do you have someone to help ward off spirits?
"Yes, we have an expert exorcist. Our company president is a skilled spirit remover. Recently, he also featured as the handsome lead in my music video—number one, strong presence."
What must you do before you can ward off spirits?
"Pray and make merit a lot. Recite prayers often. Honestly, I pray every day. Eventually, bad things will leave us. For those who think ill of me, I hope they realize their mistakes or someone close advises them. I understand sometimes we say or do things thoughtlessly. That’s why I haven’t reacted before, but now I must speak out because devaluing effort is unacceptable. I want to protect those who try hard and don’t deserve to be diminished."
