The passing of Pradit Mahathai the father of Ja Nongpanee the famous female singer deeply saddened the family. Today (15 Apr 2026), the family held the cremation ceremony at Ban Phet Temple, Sa Wangha District, Ang Thong Province.
During the procession moving the father's body to the crematorium at Ban Phet Temple, Ja, Mae Jamnian, and her elder sister Pek Walaya were all deeply sorrowful. Especially Mae Jamnian, who wept the entire way, mourning the farewell to her lifelong partner of over 40 years, saying, “Why didn’t you take me with you?” This caused Ja to quickly embrace her mother and try to stay strong to be her mother’s pillar, even though she herself was nearly in tears.
