The wedding ceremony was undoubtedly one of the most joyous celebrations for Nadech Kukimiya. and Yaya Urassaya. It was conducted according to Isan traditions in Khon Kaen province, the hometown of Nadech.
During the traditional wedding parade to request the bride's hand, the bridesmaids blocked the silver and gold gates and asked Nadech to read a love declaration in the Isan language loudly enough for the bride to hear before they would open the gates.
Nadech shouted his love for Yaya in Isan: “I love you, forgetting all women in the land. I won't let my eyes look at anyone else, nor my heart love another. I will love only my wife, as always, every day. I see my wife as the most beautiful person in the world, more beautiful than all the stars.”
