The long-awaited day has finally arrived with the wedding of the superstar lead actor and actress couple. Nadech Kugimiya and Yaya Urassaya an event many have eagerly anticipated for years.
Today (17 Apr 2026 GMT+7) is filled with love, sweetness, and joyful celebration for Nadech and Yaya as they hold their traditional Isan wedding ceremony at Yingyen House in Khon Kaen Province, the groom's hometown, in a simple, natural atmosphere. They will later hold another ceremony in Norway, the bride's birthplace, and conclude the celebrations in Bangkok.
The love story of Nadech and Yaya spans over 16 years, starting as on-screen partners before becoming life partners.
It all began with the 4 Hearts of the Mountains series, specifically the drama “Duangjai Akkanee” aired on Channel 3 in 2010. The chemistry between Fai and Jeed, played by Nadech and Yaya, sparked a huge fan frenzy for the couple. Since then, they starred together in numerous works such as “Game Rai Game Rak” and “Thorne Ni Nee Krai Khrong.”
At that time, their relationship was simply "close siblings" in the entertainment industry and colleagues who cared deeply for each other, prompting fans to hope they would become a couple. Nadech admitted that early on he was shy to talk to Yaya because she seemed like an international kid who often spoke English.
Their real-life chemistry was reinforced by “Game Rai Game Rak,” which created the “Saichon and Nangfa” phenomenon, making fans wonder if their on-screen love might blossom off-screen as well. Nadech surprised Yaya with a proposal on the Amalfi Coast, Italy, witnessed by close friends on 5 June 2023. He posted a sweet message with photos saying, "I'm the luckiest man, because I showed her the ring and she said YES!"
