It's another sad piece of news for the beauty pageant industry and its fans as a top photographer Ninja Wasunpas Pengsomya a nationally and internationally renowned beauty pageant photographer, has peacefully passed away.
, Baithong Jarirat, Miss Earth Thailand 2021, posted the sad news of Ninja Wasunpas Pengsomya's passing, saying
“I would like to announce the passing of Wasunpas Pengsomya. Previously, he was hospitalized in Kamphaeng Phet province for treatment of a bacterial infection. Initially, it was diagnosed as severe Melioidosis, which caused serious lung damage and septic shock from repeated infections. The doctors adjusted medications and did their utmost to save him.
Around 3 a.m., Ninja peacefully left us. The funeral will be held at Wat Wang O in Kamphaeng Phet, his hometown.”
Earlier, on 18 Mar, Ninja posted a photo from the hospital with the caption, “Suddenly admitted... due to lung opacity, quite confusing... but I’m still taking photography bookings to pay the medical bills.” He later updated, “Thank you all so much. I’m stable now after 24 hours of rest.”
Many followers left messages wishing Ninja a speedy recovery. Sadly, in the early morning of 17 Apr 2026 GMT+7, Ninja peacefully passed away around 3 a.m., deeply saddening his family, close friends, the beauty queens he worked with, and his fans.
