It has become an issue to follow concerning Jenny from 'Dai Mod Ta Sod Chuen,' who admitted to being very stressed and mentally affected after becoming involved in a multi-million-baht legal dispute. She was hired to review a certain mooncake brand but was sued by another brand claiming trademark rights for alleged joint infringement.
The incident began when Jenny was hired to promote a mooncake brand that achieved massive sales and widespread influencer reviews. The problem arose when the opposing brand, which has a name similar to a word in the mooncake brand's name, (but does not sell mooncakes) considered this an infringement of their registered logo and trademark.
Although Jenny was paid only 50,000 baht for the review, she was sued for damages totaling 70 million baht. The lawsuit details went as far as alleging that Jenny was involved in producing and collaborating with the mooncake brand to infringe on rights. Previously, during a festival, she had already received a 10 million baht warning notice, but at that time the mooncake brand insisted there was no wrongdoing, so she proceeded until the matter escalated into a major lawsuit.
Jenny and her lawyer have responded to the case, stating that it is currently under consideration whether the court will accept the lawsuit. The lawyer advised not to panic and to wait to fight the case through proper legal procedures.
"I admit I am very stressed, and it has affected my mental health. We were just hired to review, but the blame has fallen on me. If the court accepts the case, Jenny is ready to appear on every program to seek justice because the damage amount claimed is dangerous and excessively high."
