An incredible and unpredictable life: Growing up in poverty, ordained as a novice monk for six years, and frequently bullied for being a petite transgender girl, MiMi Tao (Pacharanat Nobnate) has grown into a transgender model who now stars as the lead in the popular German series 'Crooks,' currently streaming worldwide on Netflix.
'Crooks,' a popular German detective-action series with intense twists, gained strong momentum from its debut, prompting the production of a second season. Its world premiere took place in Vienna, Austria. Even after just a few episodes aired, the series received very positive feedback.
MiMi Tao shared, “I had to stay in Thailand to film for over six months. Initially, I was cast as the younger sister of Big D Gerrard, but during filming, the director changed my role to be Big D Gerrard’s older sister instead. I hope viewers will enjoy it because with Netflix’s global standards, the quality is guaranteed.”
Modeling remains a profession MiMi loves. She has been a model for many years, appearing on the popular show Project Runway for six years and walking the runway for numerous top brands during fashion weeks in the United States.
The German series 'Crooks' was MiMi’s first acting experience and opened her eyes widely to the world of acting. “It was more fun than I expected. If I get another chance, I want to continue acting in films, dramas, and series,” she said.
MiMi expressed interest in acting in Thai series and films, especially movies like 'Saphaeo' (The Mortician), which she greatly admires after watching both parts. She loves speaking the Isan dialect wherever she is and would like to act in films featuring Isan language. MiMi’s Thai manager, Khun Kong, has already contacted Khun Oh (Avirut Akkabut), the producer of 'Saphaeo.' She’s unsure if she will get a role, but if she does, she is ready to return to Thailand, where she usually flies nearly every year.
MiMi Tao (Pacharanat Nobnate) is a Thai transgender model who has achieved global recognition, bringing honor to Thai women worldwide. Previously, MiMi served as a United Nations (UN) ambassador for the TogetherBand project, which focuses on reducing social inequalities.
