After Danny Sripinyo the young actor died at 12:54 PM on 20 Apr 2026 from acute kidney failure at Chaophraya Yommarat Hospital in Suphanburi province, aged 57. The family held his funeral at Wat Pa Sakae in Suphanburi.
Recently, Kwang Pojanee Sripinyo, Danny's wife, opened up to the media, sharing detailed events before her husband's death. She said that since his stroke over ten years ago, he had returned to normal life as everyone saw. But last month, he began having stomach discomfort and indigestion, so he saw a doctor who prescribed medication. The pain subsided, but he felt tired, breathing laboriously while lying down, and walking weakly. She noticed he urinated less, but he insisted he just went to the bathroom—she suspected he was hiding the truth.
She pressed him daily until he agreed to see the doctor again. Blood tests revealed early-stage acute kidney failure. He was then treated at a hospital in Doem Bang Nang Buat. Further tests found heart disease and low electrolytes, so he was transferred to Chaophraya Yommarat Hospital in the city, where kidney and heart specialists diagnosed kidney failure and arrhythmia.
The doctors explained the treatment plan: if medication improved kidney function, dialysis wouldn't be needed; if heart rate slowed, it was good. When he was ill, his heart rate neared 200 beats per minute. The doctors said echocardiograms were unsafe at that time. If his heart stopped or electric shocks were needed while he still had a pulse, they would perform defibrillation.
However, he had a 1-3 cm brain clot, so doctors hesitated to use electric shocks, fearing the clot might dislodge and cause paralysis in limbs. The situation was critical. Danny grew increasingly tired daily, even with high-pressure oxygen. He was transferred to the cardiac ICU directly.
On transfer day, he appeared very exhausted and admitted difficulty breathing. They intubated him—a procedure that was uncomfortable but bearable—and sedated him as he hadn't rested. The next day's X-ray showed improved lungs with minimal fluid. A CT scan revealed an old brain lesion possibly from a prior stroke, but no new bleeding.
Upon ICU admission, his left limbs were paralyzed, right side could move. Kidney function deteriorated again with reduced urine output. Doctors said if he worsened, they might need to defibrillate or use a cardiac pump—last-resort measures if electric activity ceased suddenly. They committed to full treatment efforts.
The following day, he became confused and unresponsive, losing control of his limbs. She told him to call if needed and that if he passed, she wanted only one goodbye without suffering. On the last day, when she arrived in the morning, nurses informed her he had worsened overnight and asked if dialysis should continue around the clock.
She inquired about dialysis benefits; the staff explained it might improve kidney function but carried risk of sudden death due to its intensity. She asked about withholding dialysis; the doctors said they would provide full medication until he couldn't continue. She decided to prioritize his comfort, believing the outcome was the same.
Doctors allowed visits at about 12:30 PM. Upon seeing him, he was nearly unresponsive. She told him she was there and to rest easy, reassuring that she would care fully for their daughter. The nurses were very kind, but he showed no reaction and his pupils were fixed.
She urged him to stay calm and reassured him about caring for their daughter, telling him to sleep so he could regain strength and go home. After she spoke, he took a final breath and passed. Nurses confirmed no CPR was performed, and his pulse had stopped. She said he had gone peacefully and that everything was over.
The heartbreak was constant, like water ready to overflow, but she had to stay strong for his sake. She told him, "Okay, you go peacefully now; we’ll go home soon."
When asked how fiercely Danny fought initially, Kwang said he was always conscious and wanted to stay until he recovered. Although tired, he insisted he could overcome kidney failure, despite his heart condition. She noted he was stubborn.
Asked about staying strong, she said she used every word to relax him. She did not talk with their daughter on the last day. Danny asked if their daughter, Ava, should visit; Kwang declined to preserve Ava’s memory of him well without tubes. Before hospitalization, Danny told Ava he’d come back after treatment, and Ava wished him a speedy recovery.
Regarding Danny’s greatest concern, Kwang nodded and said doctors advised no phone calls. He was tired but insisted it was okay. Hearing Ava’s voice made him cry and he couldn’t hide his emotions. His main worry was their daughter; household matters were arranged beforehand, as shown in his interviews. He told his sister that if Ava graduated from high school, he would feel proud. Kwang vowed to fulfill all his wishes.
Asked about Ava’s condition, Kwang said Ava was somewhat shocked and reluctant to speak. She said they were now acting as Danny’s representatives since he was beloved by many fans. With a trembling voice, she said Danny was a popular actor, and they must hold back tears until home, now receiving guests and staying strong for him, so he won’t worry.
When asked about the heartbreaking image of Ava waving goodbye at the coffin, Kwang said Ava felt ready and sat with her grandmother to receive guests before saying farewell. The cremation ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, 23 Apr 2026 at 3:00 PM.
Asked how she maintains strength to support Ava, Kwang said she plans to keep doing what she enjoys. She is resourceful and has been building her presence online. She wants Ava to know the name "Eva Home," representing Danny’s family and legacy—something she will continue to care for.
Danny had built a warehouse to display his old collections. They expect groups to visit, with check-in points including Eva Home. He dreamed of people coming there; now that he is gone, this place is his legacy. She promised to make it well-known and told him not to worry.
Asked about her pride in Danny, Kwang said she was proud since marriage. He was faithful and family-oriented, never straying. Even if offered overnight work, he declined. Money was important but they lived simply. He always prayed with Ava nightly and returned home after late shows, never staying out overnight.
In closing, Kwang said, “I will make everything good, honoring the promises I gave. Don’t worry. I am strong enough. I may grieve briefly now, but things will improve, and I will ensure all turns out well. I have told him I will take care of our daughter fully. No need to worry.”
