Regarding the case where Kanachai Kamnerdploy the well-known host and news anchor, announced plans to sue actress and beauty queen Poo Mantana in another lawsuit after Poo posted on social media implying, “Surprise, the gang of lawyer Tui’s men and Kanachai’s subordinates are disturbing Poo Mantana in courtroom 403 #PhraNakhonSouthDistrictCourt,” along with the song “E Luk Chang Sot” by artist Ja Nongpanee.
Kanachai spoke about this on the program “Noon Update” on Channel 3, saying the channel would issue a statement on the matter and would manage the case. Recently, Channel 3 posted an official letter addressing the issue, containing the following:
“Regarding the dissemination of messages on online media falsely referencing Mr. Kanachai Kamnerdploy, either wholly or partially distorted or fabricated in a way likely to cause damage to Mr. Kanachai, or messages understood to be involved in causing disturbance in the courtroom,
the station has investigated the facts and clarifies that the claims that Mr. Kanachai engaged in or was involved in causing disorder in the courtroom are false, distorted, or fabricated and contrary to the truth.
Publishing such false information causes public misunderstanding and harms the reputation and image of Mr. Kanachai and others referenced, and may constitute offenses under the Computer Crime Act B.E. 2550 (2007) and/or other relevant laws.
This announcement requests all involved parties to immediately cease publishing or forwarding such messages through all channels, and to stop and fully refrain from any infringement against the station, Mr. Kanachai, or others by any means or channels.
Furthermore, the station reserves the right to take legal action to fully protect the rights of the station and Mr. Kanachai under the law.
