Hum Jokmok and Nong Chachacha Recall Bond with Danny Sripinyo, Reveal First-Time Secret of Being Deceived Together

Following the loss of the former famous comedian actor, Danny Sripinyo, it caused deep sorrow for his family, close associates, and many fellow entertainers who had worked with him. Today, a cremation ceremony was held. Hum Jokmok and Nong Chachacha, who had worked with Danny, came to bid him farewell for the last time and shared their memories of his kindness during their time together on the show 'Rabiad Thoet Thoeng,' saying,

Hum said, “Since hearing the news, today is the last day. Because I was in the provinces, I feel very sad. We were together for many years,

on 'Rabiad Thoet Thoeng.'”

Nong said, “Hum was the prankster on 'Rabiad Thoet Thoeng.' Whenever someone was teased heavily, it had to be by him.”

Hum said, “And Nong was the funny one. When he was changing clothes, he pulled on Dan’s pants.”

Nong said, “During a break, female actors were eating, and Danny took off his shirt, standing in just his boxers. I wanted to tease him, so I pulled his pants because I thought he was only wearing underwear. He was stunned. We were just joking—he was playful.”

Hum said, “That was a fun story, but here’s a sad one I’ve never told before. Danny was the first comedian who was also a drama actor to join the Thepphop Ngam troupe. There was a tour to America lasting over a month. It was just Danny and me sitting together, wanting to go home and missing home, feeling abandoned. The person who took us left us behind. We were just young, about 24 or 25. We were lost in L.A., in several cities, crying together. Brother Thep didn’t know what to do. We missed our children; my child was only three or four. That was very sad. At that time, Brother Thep, Brother Noi, and Brother Chaeng were also there.”

Asked about the bond with Brother Danny?

Hum said, “It was more than just a bond because we were together for many years. 'Rabiad Thoet Thoeng' ran nearly 20 years. During meals, we teased each other like siblings.”

Asked about his personality while they were together?

Hum said, “He loved his friends. On Brother Chole’s birthday, we went on a trip to Patpong and Silom.”

Nong said, “He liked teasing and joking. His personality probably came from the Thepphop Ngam troupe and from Brother Hum. He wasn’t serious.”

Hum said, “It was like a chain—Danny would tease Brother Chuey, and so on.”

Na Ja Re Chernyim said, “I worked with Danny in a drama. He was a good and kind-hearted person.”

Nong said, “He was a straightforward guy. In the past, if someone had something to sell, he’d buy it all.”

Asked how they felt upon hearing the news?

Hum said, “I was in the provinces and thought, ‘What happened?’ I asked friends and learned it was acute kidney failure.”

Nong said, “I was shocked because we had been close. He once called about selling a Volkswagen Beetle. I told him it was expensive because Danny liked expensive things, really vintage but costly. If he sold it, it could get 700,000 to 800,000 baht, but Danny wanted 500,000 to 600,000. He wanted to use the money to pay his child’s tuition. I think it might still be for sale; you should ask Danny’s wife. If kept, it would just become an antique. We have to ask Danny first. Yesterday I talked to Brother Gig, and he told me to buy the car. I’m afraid I wouldn’t sleep well.”

Hum said, “Drive it, let’s go together, Nong.”

Asked when they last saw Brother Danny?

Hum said, “We mostly talked on the phone, checking on each other’s wellbeing.”

Asked about when Brother Danny decided to leave the entertainment industry?

Hum said, “I still liked the idea that Danny wanted to live quietly. We once thought about living in the rice fields at our home in Yasothon, where we have land, wanting to plant chili and papaya to sell. But we worried about the wife being lonely, the kids, the grandchildren—many concerns.”

Nong said, “But I think he had a great heart, living like that with his kids, grandchildren, and wife.”

Hum said, “Today, we came to send off Danny’s spirit with condolences from many comedians and friends who worked with him. Danny worked with many entertainment companies.”

Nong said, “When I heard the news, I wanted to come every day, but everyone is busy. Today, we had to come.”

Hum said, “These days, people have been coming one by one. Recently, Neng came to see Danny again (looking at Nong). He has lost weight lately. I don’t have a phone, just to clarify. If you see rumors that I’m dead, how to say it? Check the page. I don’t use phones much. You can only see me on my wife’s channel and my daughter’s channel.”

Asked if he said anything when tapping the coffin just now?

Hum said, “Go ahead, Danny. I’ll catch up with you when I’m free, but I have a lot of work now and will be here for many years. No one escapes.”

Nong said, “Sooner or later, that’s all. May you rest in a good realm, and may your family be happy and healthy.”
