Mother of Tangmo, Panthap and Ajariya Submit DSI Case Files, Believe Daughter Did Not Fall from Boat

At 10:00 a.m., Mrs. Panida Siriyutthayothin, mother of Ms. Nida, along with Mr. Panthap Puapongpan, representative of the People's Party, and Mr. Ajariya Ruangrattanapong, chairman of the Crime Victims Assistance Club and complainant, delivered over 1,000 pages of documentary evidence to the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) officers. This was to support the final review of the investigation into the death of Ms. Nida Patchareewirapong, known as Tangmo.

Mr. Panthap revealed that the more than 1,000 pages submitted today contain collected information and evidence that confirms Ms. Nida did not fall from the boat at 22:32, as previously reported. Additionally, there are three wounds found on the right knee crease of the deceased that could prove that Tangmo’s cause of death was not from falling off the boat.

Mr. Ajariya stated that after following three cases related to Ms. Nida, he personally believes that officials have been attempting to protect the group of people on the boat at the time of the incident, helping them receive lighter penalties in an orchestrated manner.

Furthermore, Mr. Panthap said he has requested the DSI to take legal action against the director of the Institute of Forensic Science at the Ministry of Justice and other involved parties as respondents in this case. This is because when he requested original photographic evidence of the deceased, he was denied cooperation, being told the data review was ongoing and under case consideration. This original file is crucial as it shows the wound conditions and depth, which could reveal more information, yet was not provided despite his mother’s request. He will now appeal to the National Anti-Corruption Commission to investigate whether there was a violation of duty under Section 157. However, if the Institute of Forensic Science later cooperates, he may withdraw the complaint.

Meanwhile, Tangmo’s mother said she only recently learned the facts surrounding her daughter’s death. What she wants to know is who was responsible for causing her daughter’s death.

After receiving the documents, DSI investigators reviewed the evidence and related information, including detailed explanations about the wounds, cause of death, GPS system analysis, software data, and conducted additional interviews. This review is considered the final step before preparing an investigative report to be submitted to the National Anti-Corruption Commission for further action.
