They are a sweet couple who often share adorable moments for their fans to follow. The man is "Songkran Techatorn" and his lovely partner "Mind Napasasi." Recently, she opened up about her family planning, having already undergone egg freezing, and shared updates along with good news plans.
Can you update us on your egg freezing process? How is it going?
Actually, I'm quite lucky. At 35 years old, I have a decent number of eggs. At first, I thought I would get fewer than 10, but I ended up with about 18 to 19. The doctor said that's good, but we still have to wait and see if the fertilization will be successful.
How many more years do you plan to wait before having children?
I'm 35 this year and ideally want to have children before 40, but in truth, I'd like to do it in about 2 to 3 years. I want to be a mother soon so I can recover quickly and be like a friend to my child in the future.
So you have planned ahead early on?
Yes, planning is important, but honestly, I don't have a very specific plan yet.
Have you discussed this with Songkran?
It's not that we haven't talked at all. We have consulted each other a bit because Songkran is about 7 to 8 years older than me. We've talked about when we're ready and settled in our careers, we will have more serious discussions. For now, it's more like sharing life perspectives.
Since you have quite a large number of eggs, have you decided how many you want to implant?
The doctor said even with many eggs, fertilization might not yield many viable embryos. I am a thalassemia carrier like my mother, so if I have children, we need to prepare carefully. The doctor advised freezing eggs before 35, so I went ahead with it.
What preparations are needed for egg freezing, especially with thalassemia?
There is a lot of preparation. I usually exercise and have a disciplined lifestyle with sleep and diet. During egg freezing, I had to stop drinking alcohol, avoid relaxing activities, and take supplements prescribed by the doctor like folic acid, astaxanthin, and probiotics. If the couple doesn't have risks, it's fine, but if both are carriers, the child might be at risk. I haven't discussed this with Songkran yet, but we probably should, because we want our child to be as healthy as possible.
Do you have a preference for a son or daughter? Honestly, I have no older brother, only two sisters, so I wish for one boy and one girl. But I don't know if my body can handle that.
Or maybe twins?
Twins? That depends on the bank account. I need to focus on working first.
You never talked about this before. What made you decide to start planning now?
I think it's my age. When I was a child, I saw my parents marry early. My mother is now 60, and I'm 35. Since my mother had children young, I feel like she is my friend now—still energetic, traveling with me, and we talk like friends. But I can't turn back time. At 35 to 36, it's getting late.
So you decided to act now?
Yes. Some say to wait until ready, but you never know when that will be. If the timing is right, I'm a fighter. I can still work hard. If I have a child one day, I will do my best. I believe I can handle it.
Do you think 2-3 years is too long to wait? "Too long? If it were this year or next year, that would be too soon. So I feel that 2 years is about right, and then I say 2 to 3 years."
Will you get married in two years then? I don't know yet (laughs).
