Rosemary Files Complaint Against Acquaintance for Sexually Abusing Her 13-Year-Old Son, Vows to Pursue Case to the End

Today (28 Apr) at 10:00 a.m., at Khok Khram Police Station, Rosemary Kahanding or "Rosemary" a former Thai-Filipino singer, brought her 13-year-old son to meet investigators to file a complaint against an acquaintance, a photographer at a studio, who molested her son during a trip to Khao Yai.

Rosemary Kahanding revealed that on 20 April, the said photographer sent a LINE message asking to take her son to a 5-star hotel in Khao Yai, promising various activities to broaden his horizons. She agreed to let him go.

Her son was reluctant to go, but she saw it as a good opportunity and allowed it. On the afternoon of 23 April, after her son returned, he showed unusual behavior. At around 8 p.m. the same day, he told her he would never go anywhere with that man again because he had been sexually abused by having his genitals touched.

Shocked, she called the man, who admitted to the act but claimed it was a joke and asked to negotiate a settlement of 20,000 baht to end the matter. She refused. Later, the photographer offered 100,000 baht in installments, pleading for her understanding not to ruin his future, warning that if a complaint was filed, he could lose his job, face jail time, and be unable to pay compensation. He apologized as well.

Rosemary said that apologies and compensation cannot heal her son's psychological trauma, which will remain a lifelong scar. Additionally, a few days earlier, the photographer posted on Facebook pinned at Suvarnabhumi Airport, stating he was leaving for work abroad, raising concerns he might flee. Therefore, she decided to file a complaint at Khok Khram Police Station and requested coordination with Mu Si Police Station.

Rosemary also affirmed her determination to pursue the case fully and demanded compensation and psychological support for her 13-year-old son.
