This is a story that warms the heart when read, as Nan Radacha the wife of the late young DJ, DJ Ko Trin Ruangkitrattanakul, posted about a day when she cried because her heart was fragile, missing her late husband, but little Ren Ren, their son who loves and cares deeply for his mother, hugged her to heal her heart until she felt better.
On Instagram @nan_pmn, she posted a message describing the moment: “On a day when something triggered my mind to think of Day and I couldn’t stop crying, I went outside to cry so Ren wouldn’t see (I have never cried in front of Ren since he was born).
But when I came back inside thinking I was ready to talk about it, having prepared myself and even laughed at myself, there were about 8-9 people downstairs, but it didn’t help. When I spoke again, tears flowed once more. What Ren did was take my hand and say, ‘Mom, let’s go talk upstairs.’ OMG!!”
Ren said: ‘Mom, sit here… Mom, why are you sad?’
I thought about whether to tell the truth because this week Ren has started deep talks about many things, but once I talked to him, I understood everything.
I said: ‘Mom is thinking about Papa.’ (I was very scared inside while saying this.) Ren asked what mom should do to feel better.
Ren said: ‘Mom, you can hug me.’
I hugged Ren and said it really made me feel better, unbelievably so.
Ren said: ‘Let me see your eyes. Mom, your eyes aren’t red anymore. See? You really are feeling better.’
Ren gave me a sticker as a gift and then took my hand to go play together again.
... At just four years old, Ren healed mom’s heart completely. I just want to record how gentle and caring my four-year-old son is, and importantly, how much he understands his own feelings at such a young age... Thank you so much, my little microwave.”
She captioned the post: “Crying in front of my child on days when my heart is fragile may not always be a bad thing… Thank you, my little lump. P.S. There’s nothing to worry about regarding what happened. It’s not a bad event; my mind and heart just connected by themselves... No need to worry ☺️”
