This has become a prolonged drama that isn’t ending anytime soon when Poo Mantana posted a fierce clip targeting Boom Panadda claiming that Boom distorted facts in comments about her news, with the case still under court review. Determining guilt is the court’s role, not the media’s or Boom’s. She also accused Boom of misleading the public and encouraging the opposing party to sue her, causing more legal cases, which is highly inappropriate and calls for common sense, ethics, and neutrality.
Boom later clarified she was confused as her comments were not personal and she had no issues with Poo. She said Poo was invited to appear on the "Clear Chud Chud" show but didn’t come; instead, lawyer Aproamn, who represented Poo at the time, was interviewed. This happened a year ago. Boom insisted she didn’t mislead anyone and welcomed Poo to appear on the show if she wished.
Recently, reporters met Poo Mantana at the South Bangkok Criminal Court for a scheduled hearing in a case where Luk Mee sued Poo. When asked about the dispute and why the situation escalated with Boom Panadda, Poo said the case started with lawyer Goong making defamatory remarks on Boom’s show. Since Goong made those remarks, Poo clarified the facts. A page named Khun Ying Kopkoi praised Poo as more beautiful than Boom, to which Boom commented that the insult was aimed at Pareena, not Poo. This was the provocation that led Poo to respond.
When asked what upset her about Boom, Poo said Boom encouraged Lilly Nguyen to sue her on a program, although she wasn’t sure what the suit was about. Boom and the show never contacted Poo. Boom lied claiming the "Clear Chud Chud" show reached out but Poo didn’t appear. In reality, only two shows contacted her: "Kon Dang Nang Clear" and "Open Talk with Pakpoom," on which she appeared. Other than those, no contact was made. This was Poo’s clarification.
Reporters asked if Poo knew beforehand that lawyer Aproamn would appear on the show instead of her. Poo said the show contacted Aproamn or her lawyer directly, which was between them and not related to her. She reaffirmed Boom and the show never contacted her.
When asked about Boom’s explanation that inviting guests is the producer’s job, not the host’s, and that Boom didn’t know who would be invited but only knew Aproamn would appear, Poo immediately said they could spin it any way they wanted. When asked if she spoke with Aproamn about appearing, Poo said she was in the hospital at the time and didn’t know who contacted whom. It was a matter between those individuals.
Asked if she knows Boom personally, Poo said they met long ago during a Thai costume fashion show at the palace. Asked if Boom contacted her personally, Poo said no. When asked if she wanted to clear things up, Poo said there was nothing to discuss and suggested asking Boom who the real bosses of the avatar pages are.
Reporters asked why she thinks Boom knows who the real bosses of the avatar pages are. Poo said to watch the "Tee 10" show hosted by Awitawat, which discussed the avatar page bosses. When asked what impact it would have if Boom knew who they were, Poo said Boom admitted on Awitawat’s show that sometimes attacks have to come from people abroad—whether fugitives or those married to foreigners—because some people cannot be criticized openly in Thailand. She believes many know who is behind these pages but due to Thai law, they cannot openly criticize and must rely on exiled or overseas individuals to post.
When asked how this relates to Poo and why she’s concerned, Poo said everyone knows she has been attacked by avatar pages, and she has reported many of them. Everyone knows who’s behind these pages.
Asked if she believes Boom knows who really owns the pages, Poo said Boom must know who is behind the avatar pages because she admitted it on Awitawat’s show. It’s not just Boom—many in the Thai entertainment industry likely know. Perhaps even Num Kanchai knows; that’s a question for him.
Reporters asked what effect it would have if Num Kanchai or Boom Panadda knew the real owners of the pages. Poo said she doesn’t want to say much, fearing more lawsuits. She posed the question to Boom and Num Kanchai whether they know who is behind the avatar pages attacking her and her family.
Asked if she meant both are complicit, Poo said no, she’s not accusing them of complicity, just asking if they know who is behind the avatar pages insulting her daily.
Asked about her recent posts targeting Boom Panadda, which have grown harsher and included the use of the word 'ee' (a derogatory term), and how it escalated to that point, Poo said she stands firm: she responds kindly to kindness and returns the same to those who treat her badly. She said to look at Boom’s interviews to understand why she responded as she did.
Asked if she fears consequences since Boom might sue her, Poo said no, because she can clarify the facts and insists she did not start it. She plans to show the court she was responding to prior provocation.
Reporters asked if she will ease up on posting in the future. Poo said she will try to, but if not provoked first, she sees no need to post or respond. However, if distorted or attacked, she must respond.
When teased about not holding back, Poo said she never initiates trouble. But if someone starts it unfairly, she must fight and protect her rights. She believes anyone would fight back if falsely accused first.
Asked if her postings will lead to endless legal cases, Poo admitted she is tired but doesn’t know what else to do. She said a normal person wouldn’t be sued so much; it shows ill intent. The lawsuits are harassing her to wear her down. She has high legal expenses but must fight for justice.
