Boss Nawatt Hits Hard on Durian Issue, Calls for Supachais Resignation and Pimrypie as Commerce Minister

This has become a heated drama regarding the case where Ms. Supachai Suthamphan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, enlisted Pimrypie the famous influencer to livestream sell durians, announcing a campaign to sell durians at 100 baht each with a target of selling 1 million durians, which sparked controversy.

Meanwhile, Nawatt Israkaiksil the big boss of the Miss Grand pageant, fiercely commented on this issue by posting a clip promoting Pimrypie and Supachai's durian sales, along with the message: “The ad claims premium at 100 baht each. TikTok takes about 30%, leaving 70 baht. Farmers and vendors all suffer. Currently, durians are not yet oversupplied; they still sell well and at high prices everywhere. I feel sorry for Pimrypie and Phaiwan.”

He further commented under the post: “I don’t understand the minister. Durian is not the problem right now. Importantly, agricultural products’ prices should not be destroyed by discounting. What should be reduced are living costs from tycoons and fuel prices. Nowadays, durian can be processed into many products, including making fried durian by harvesting before ripening, which sells very well. So, what will farmers do? And what about other durian sellers nationwide when the minister cuts prices and advertises it as such a good product?”

He also added: “At 100 baht each, when problems arise, they say it’s a lower grade durian, but the advertisement says it’s premium grade. Isn’t this misleading consumers, minister? I really want to know.”

Then, Boss Nawatt posted again saying, “Durians are already selling well. Why cut prices for farmers and sellers? Why not lower fertilizer prices first?”

He posted once more stating, “I want Ms. Supachai to resign. How about appointing Pimrypie as the Minister of Commerce?” This drew thousands of comments from netizens.
