It has become a sad matter with many in the entertainment industry sending their support to Yadthip Ratchapal, who recently spoke about the sudden passing of her 70-year-old father. Yadthip revealed she had not officially announced the news earlier, wanting the arrangements to be peaceful in accordance with her father's wish to protect her mother's privacy.
Revealing the insect bite as the cause of the loss.
Yadthip recounted the onset of her father's illness, saying that about two months ago, he was resting in the provinces when something bit his foot. (It was not a dangerous venomous creature like a snake or scorpion.) However, the next morning his condition became severe; he vomited, was unable to walk, and the wound on his foot worsened rapidly, prompting urgent transfer to Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok.
Doctors diagnosed a severe bloodstream infection requiring emergency surgery to remove dead tissue three times. Yadthip was shocked and unsure how to react.
Throughout the two months of treatment, the family remained hopeful as her father smiled and spoke normally even while in the ICU. But during Songkran, his condition suddenly deteriorated, and he never regained consciousness.
We prepared ourselves for him possibly needing a wheelchair or being bedridden upon recovery and were ready to care for him. We never imagined it would lead to death. He left no special final instructions other than expressing a wish to return home and concern for his children who visited daily.
Yadthip and her brother had a chance to say goodbye to their father, who was unconscious but believed to be aware. They told him not to worry and to rest peacefully. The family remains grieving and unaccustomed to the silence at home but finds strength from the mother and granddaughter supporting each other.
Finally, Yadthip expressed gratitude for all the support, wreaths, and messages received from all channels, which she has read and draws strength from. A final ceremony to scatter her father's ashes will be held.
