The stage production "Nakaraj The Musical" is now underway, led by Mr. Napadol Kampantong, Chairman of the Phiwat Performing Arts Group and project director. Supported by the Contemporary Arts Promotion Fund under the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture, Ministry of Culture, the team chose an auspicious date to begin. Leading actors Peterpan Tatsaphon, Bew Jakrapun, Marilyn Kate Gardner, Chaba Natthamani, Mokong Sorawit, Suriya Yaosang, Kawinthorn Saengsakorn, Patcharapol Santiporn, and director Attha Permpoon, along with the crew, journeyed to Wat Wa En in Prachinburi Province. There, they paid homage and performed a worship ceremony for Phor Pu Phetphat Nakaraj and Mae Ya Anyarinthasinee Thewi, guardians of the eastern river basin region. This sacred site has long attracted devotees of the Naga serpent seeking blessings.
The cast and crew collectively offered a ceremonial set of nine-headed Naga throne decorations and worship items before the statues of Phor Pu Phetphat and Mae Ya Anyarinthasinee. They paid respects to sacred objects, including the Buddha under the Naga canopy, the spirit shrines of ancestral guardians Pu Mun, Pu Khong, Ta Ma, and Yai Mee, the shrines for the white and black serpent spirits, and the Earth Mother statue binding her hair. They prayed for the smooth progress and success of the stage production "Nakaraj The Musical."
"Nakaraj The Musical" tells the story of a noble Naga lord ruling the underwater realm of the eastern river basin, who faces tragic love and the wars of the Naga world. The legend is transformed into a stage play, portraying a journey from love to vengeance, from peace to war, creating an epic tale of love across lifetimes and faith transcending time. This narrative is brought to life by dedicated actors and crew members, driven by spirit and devotion, aiming for the musical's success, popularity, and lasting impression on audiences.
"Nakaraj The Musical" is set to open on Thursday, 18 June, Saturday, 20 June, and Sunday, 21 June 2026 at M Theatre. Tickets are now available for booking at all Thai Ticket Major branches.
