After Channel 7 announced the illness of the young leading actress, Pinkploy Papawadee, which caused her to withdraw from the drama earlier, many fans expressed great concern.
Recently, Pinkploy was met at the “DIMOO HAPPY 9TH ANNIVERSARY” event at Atrium 2, G Floor, Siam Center, where she updated on her health, saying,
“I’m gradually getting better. I’ve started attending events again. This might be the first event I’ve done since December.”
What is your illness related to?
“I prefer not to go into details about my illness. Basically, it’s as the channel announced regarding the nature of my condition. If you ask what disease or details, I’d rather not share them.”
How are you now? How much have you improved?
“I’m about 90% better now. (Are you still in treatment and self-care?) Yes. I’d say sometimes illness isn’t just physical pain; there are other things that cause discomfort. I prefer not to discuss those because it might affect other matters. But overall, I’m improving, though it takes time.”
Regarding your acting career?
“I don’t have any new projects yet, but I still have several years left on my contract with the channel.”
Many people worry you might cancel your contract?
“Not at all. I still have a contract and no plans to leave. I’m still here.”
How long will fans have to wait to see your work again?
“I have no current projects, but I ask for support and for everyone to follow my future work. (Are you taking a complete break from acting now?) Yes, I am resting.”
How long will the break be? Three to five years?
“If you ask me, five years might be like, ‘Have I gotten married by then?’ (laughs) No, I just want to rest for now and stabilize my health. I’m afraid if I rush back to work, it might affect both my work and myself. (But it won’t be as long as three years?) No. We’ll have to see how it goes because illness can happen suddenly. It’s better to wait and see what the future holds. For now, please send your support to me as I continue to improve.”
How much longer is your contract with the channel?
“I’m not exactly sure, but I still have a contract. (Are there new drama projects?) When I was ill, the channel asked if I was feeling better. They are waiting for me to be ready to return. The executives have to plan for new projects, but everyone has been very kind and understanding of my condition. (No pending projects?) No, only those currently airing.”},{
