At 12:30 on 8 May at Khok Kram Police Station, Luk Mee Rasamee Thongsiri-praisri along with lawyer Kung Amnuayporn Maneewan arrived at Khok Kram Police Station to file a complaint against Poo Mantana Himathongkham on charges of defamation by advertising, after the other party posted continuous attacking messages on social media.
Luk Mee explained the reason for filing the complaint today is due to ongoing insults over several weeks, with posts every 2-3 hours, not only targeting her but also involving others. Therefore, she is exercising her legal rights. Regarding Poo Mantana's accusation that she destroyed a business, Luk Mee said that since knowing the opposing party, she has never seen the business claimed—whether bags, watches, cars, collagen products, or others mentioned—and thus does not clearly know what kind of business the opponent is involved in.
When asked how many cases this is, Luk Mee said it is the sixth case in court but the second at the police station. She admitted that the past week has been stressful due to the prolonged matter lasting over two years without repayment.
Usually, when stressed or upset, she tries to stay strong but admitted that this week she broke down because the case has dragged on for so long and she has been heavily criticized online, with others also implicated, causing pressure. She is determined to pursue the case fully to prevent such individuals from causing problems or harm to others in society and hopes the court will give special consideration to this case.
When asked about claims from the opposing side that Luk Mee started the conflict, she insisted that everything she or others posted was factual and never used abusive language. She thinks those upset might feel personally involved because whenever she posts, it is often seen as her fault.
Luk Mee also cited an example during a trip to Krabi with lawyer Kung and lawyer Decha. While lawyer Decha was live streaming and answering public questions, someone asked if an EM bracelet can be worn on a plane. Lawyer Decha said he didn’t know, so Luk Mee searched and found information stating that EM bracelets cannot be worn on planes due to possible signal interference. She posted this to inform the public without naming anyone but was immediately criticized and attacked afterward.
Asked if she was annoyed by such posts, Luk Mee admitted to some irritation recently. Sometimes she goes out, dances, or eats to manage her emotions. However, with the problem accumulating over time, she sometimes cries when discouraged. She assured the matter is not life-destroying but has cost her over two million baht. She believes if all parties help resolve the issue, everything can be settled. She accepts her misfortune in encountering such an opponent and chooses to continue doing good deeds, while the other party has never addressed financial issues and has many cases. She urged the opponent to reflect on themselves.
Lawyer Kung revealed that today she brought certification letters and evidence to the investigators to pursue charges of contempt and defamation by advertising, noting many harsh terms used such as “vegetable salad bitch” and “orange flower bitch,” as well as accusations of hiding facts and distorting the case from civil to criminal, and claims of trying to exploit the issue for fame.
She further stated that the opposing party accused Luk Mee of damaging the case image and distorting facts, and the claim that Luk Mee destroyed a business constitutes defamation, as it accuses her of harming someone else’s reputation and business, misleading others about her. She emphasized that if the other side claims it is exercising free speech, they can clarify facts, but the reality shows use of harsh and direct insulting language.
Meanwhile, reports say that at 15:00 the same day, Poo Mantana will file a counter-complaint at Khok Kram Police Station. Luk Mee said she is not worried and welcomes the other party to exercise their rights. She also said she plans to file a complaint at another police station because someone used her photos with inappropriate language online.
