A heated drama has erupted in the beauty pageant community when the mother of Pan Nattanun Lertsakulphasuk one of the contestants in the Miss World Thailand 2026 pageant posted a sharp message after the contest ended, criticizing the pageant as a 'hellish factory,' expressing fear that if her daughter reached the top 12 she would have to sign a contract that forbids taking other jobs, stating the organization is unpleasant to work with, and even revealing that some contestants were instructed not to let Pan speak English.
Most recently, Pui Piyaporn Saengkosik a TPN Global executive, acknowledged the issue and replied to Pan Nattanun’s mother by posting a screenshot of her Facebook message alongside a LINE chat from Pan at the pageant thanking the team for their support throughout.
She also wrote, “Hello, Pan's mother. I apologize but I just saw this from our team and felt surprised and concerned that you posted something like this. We would like to ask about the following points:
1. ‘Hellish factory’ – could you please explain what you mean by 'hellish'?
2. Fear of reaching the top 12 (but in the recent 'night of howling dogs' event, I spoke with Pan and she really wanted to advance).
3. Saying this organization is unpleasant to work with – what do you mean? We have never worked together before.
4. Which contestant told Pan not to speak English? Please clarify clearly; that’s not nice at all.
Pan is a lovely girl; it’s unfortunate. Why would you do this, mother? All contestants train and work very hard to appear gracefully on the MWT stage. I’m saddened by these posts and feel sorry for Pan. I have spoken with her and feel for her. Let’s not blame her.”
Among the hundreds of comments from pageant fans expressing support for Pui Piyaporn were remarks such as: 'The phrase "hellish factory" and "unpleasant to work with" would be heartbreaking for the backstage staff to see,' 'I hope Pui’s team takes legal action if there is no explanation or apology,' 'Pui’s team stands firm,' and 'Yes, mother, it’s shocking to see posts like this,' etc.
