Fans of the singer and actor Golf Pichaya Nithipaisalkul have been sending him an outpouring of support after he posted the message “Deepest sorrow of my life” with a black background on his Facebook fan page, Golf Pichaya.
He then shared a photo of his beloved dog, Fila, who recently passed away and will never return after battling colorectal cancer. Along with the photo, he wrote a heart-wrenching story: “It was a heartbreaking night. My phone rang at 3 a.m. from the hospital after Fila was admitted for colorectal cancer. Looking back at the previous month… actually, throughout April, Fila was hospitalized for a full month. The cancerous tumor in the colon was removed, but it had already spread to the lymph nodes. It spread to the heart, so a tumor was found during an echocardiogram before discharge from the hospital.”
After returning home for two weeks, Fila seemed to improve but toward the end of the week began vomiting excessively, became weak, staggered, and had a glazed look in her eyes. She was readmitted. At 3 a.m., the doctor called to report that her condition was unresponsive to medication, oxygen, and IV fluids… her breathing was labored because the tumor in her heart was pressing on it, and she also had a leaky heart valve. Ultimately, it was too much to bear, so they planned to take her home. But she had seizures en route, so they had to return to the hospital to give her medication to ease the suffering. It was a very painful night for me.”
Fila is now resting peacefully in doggy heaven… I’m so happy to have had you as my daughter. Go be an angel now, my dear. Pa-Pee loves you more than anything and always will. I will miss you every day, my daughter, Pa-Pee.
I still can’t accept that this is reality…I miss you so much and always will. Love you, Fila.
