I recently visited the doctor, who was very happy. He said the cancer markers have almost disappeared, and the tumor has completely shrunk. However, I still need to follow up regularly, every month. We must not be complacent. Follow-ups are scheduled at 3 months, 6 months, and then one year. If five years pass without issues, it is considered remission. The doctor even pulled out old X-ray films to compare and see where the tumor went.
The doctor referred me to another department and asked if the patient was with him. I said yes, that's me. Since stage 4 cancer usually means a very serious condition and treatment history is intense, they didn't expect the patient sitting there to be me. I asked the doctor if I could do facial treatments and hair coloring. The doctor said, 'Go ahead, Joy. Do whatever makes you happy.' As women, when we feel beautiful on the outside, we feel happy inside too.
